I don't mean to thread crap but remembered reading a recent news item on nanoplastic seepage from plastic food containers. Hence urging caution….

https://amp.cnn.com/cnn/2024/01/0...index.html [cnn.com]

TLDR "We can avoid consuming foods and beverages in plastic containers. We can wear clothing made from natural fabrics and buy consumer products made from natural materials," Houlihan said. "We can simply take stock of the plastic in our daily lives and find alternatives whenever feasible."

Costco has Oxo 8-pc set of similar containers for $39.99 after instant rebate in-store in Washington State anyway. Works out to $5 per unit of various sizes.

My Walmart (Hurst, TX) had a ton of these on an end cap. The sign said $8 but they all rang up $5; the 10-cup and the 7.5-cup.

I got the 18.6cup 2 pack for $5. You have to use Walmart App to show $5. It's $7.94 online on walmart.com

Apparently, Walmart just started charging $6.99 for a pickup if the order is under $35.

Rumor is, that fee will go away when the curbside pickup employees are replaced with automation.

j/k 😉

If you don't have Walmart+ membership, there is a fee for pickup of order less than $35

FYI: if you look at product dimensions of the 2 pack, it reflects the packaging of two together, not a single canister. A reviewer said smaller than expected, and I know why now

I came back on to say the same thing. I just got mine. They are very nice and definitely worth $5. However, the dimensions on the site claim they are 10x7x5 inches. I knew this had to be too large for 7.5 cups, but ordered them anyway. I don't regret it and the deal is still available. Thinking of getting 2 more or maybe the larger one. FYI, the actual dimensions of the smaller one is 7.5" x 4.5 x 4.5

Somehow I was able to grab a 2-pack of the 18.6 cup version for the same price ($4.98). Thanks OP!

Not crapping on the thread either (bought a couple myself), but "BPA-Free" doesn't mean "100% safe plastic." It just means no BPA.

If you're going to use plastics around food, better make it BPA-free, but don't conflate the relative safety of that with something actually inert, like glass.
