I've been eyeballing this set for a while. I have Kobalt with the rubber handle covers. They're clunky, won't stay locked, soft steel jaws flattening the grip surface smooth. The scissors and pocket knife are a nice sweetener - maybe a stocking stuffer for next year.

Looks like a slickdeal for a mid-grade vise-grip set. I'm sure they do the thing.

That said, I have some Crescent compound diags of the new style and they had pretty awful wobble out of the package, and it only got worse after about 100 cuts. I tried to contact the company both through their website and by phone (I did some digging.) Left messages but zero response. The 'Warranty', at least direct from manufacturer, in my experience, is meaningless.

I wish Crescent didn't scoop Lufkin and Wiss.
