I can't vouch for everything in this specific tea, but I know they use real peppermint, because I've been on their factory tour.
They have a peppermint room.
The peppermint oil is so thick in the air that you walk out of it *Feeling Oily*.

No idea if the tours are still going on post-covid, but if any of y'all are ever in the area of their factory in Colorado, it's with the trip.
Ask and you shall recieve
.16 a tea bag

Celestial Seasonings Throat Cooler Herbal Tea combines traditional herbs of eucalyptus and peppermint, both of which have known medicinal benefits, with a cooling blast of menthol to give the cooling sensation of a cough drop in a cup.

Kroger has it for $1.99 each. The factory is just down the street from us & we get their damaged boxes all the time. LOVE this flavor!!

Why can't they just use actual tea leaves and herbs and not a bunch of chemicals to make it taste good? There's pretty much nothing "natural" about natural flavors. Thanks, but hard pass.
What part of natural do you not understand?

Well just FYI natural flavor is a legal terminology for secret recipe. And if your concerned about chemicals landing in your food, one way you can be sure if those natural flavors are toxic or not is by looking at any third party certifications the company may be using. Goto their website and find FAQ and ask what these things mean.

For example I see NON GMO verified. That means they would have disclosed all those ingredients with that third party and since they passed the test that ensures they do not contain genetically modified ingredients and removes alot of toxic possibilities.

So it just takes some time to do research and understand what these things mean. If you had a popular product that you didn't want your competitors to copy cat you all the time this is a legal terminology in the US you can use but if the company is willing to go through a very costly and time consuming certification process, and they pass, it's likely that they aren't using some crazy toxic chemical in their products.
