Reverend Six Gun TL Electric Guitar (Medieval Red) $769 & More

Instrumental Music and Sound is holding a sale on select Reverend electric guitars. Shipping is free. They don't seem to charge sales tax.

Some of these are models discontinued by Reverend.

Available:Description (Six Gun TL)

It's a Reverend Six Gun TL for the Modern Age! The pickup combination of the Talnico in the bridge and Salnicos in the middle and neck are traditional with a little extra warmth; beefy early 50's twang, but never harsh. The whole effect is balanced and pleasant. Sporting a Wilkinson WVII 50 tremolo system on a sleek, offset Korina body, with the five-way switch, and Reverend's own Bass Contour Control, players can go from a rich shimmer and twang to a leaner more traditional tone. Modern styling means that while this guitar may sometimes sound traditional, it doesn't look or feel like you borrowed it from your dad's collection.

I have not tracked standard Reverend prices, but I have heard good things about their quality fit and finish. My first web search for them after seeing your post uncovered what I consider a good omen -- the Reverend CEO playing guitar (Reverend Double Agent). https://youtu.be/_zVGlSemVOw?si=J...ulW3&t=191

I think they're some of the nicest guitars for the money! Well thought out designs and specs, great sound, great quality. Made in Korea by Mirr Music and QC'd by their team in Ohio. The offset shape is an icon of theirs.

As always with these smaller builders they don't have as much brand recognition, but Sweetwater being one of their dealers is a big step forward (as with these demo videos).

Have a double agent OG. Love it. One of the most versatile guitars - has become my primary electric because the bass contour makes it so unique.

The Reverends I've played all really needed some work around the fret ends, but it may just be my luck. Otherwise they seem to be solid.

Are they going after that Novo look? That Novo draws a weird crowd, like a cult or something.

No. That Reverend body shape dates to 1997, while the Novo look is from 2014 (and Fano guitars before then weren't very similar to the Reverend look).

I own a reverend, and like it a lot. They're solid mid tier guitars. Competition is stiff in the segment and recommend trying them out in person rather than just going for a sale price. My personal favorite in this price point is the ESP EC line. Also, look at Godin and Yamaha as often overlooked, but high-quality guitars that punch above their weight class.

Reverend is a great brand if you like vintage-inspired instruments. Well made. Great features. Reasonable price.

The first model looks okay. But I really can't get past the fat, deformed Tele look of the others.
