See what happened is, Reddit had a weird pointless shutdown for a couple weeks and all the people who couldn't be without validation from strangers and fake Internet points spilled over here. It made this place just as bad as Reddit plus more spam to get those worthless points.

There's a lot of good spots on Reddit that offer soild information, but I know the exact Reddit types you're talking about.
There's this weird population of 60yr+ conspiracy theorist that scream 'something something China!' in every comment, yet can't wait to horde those 3rd party Amazon products that are 80% off.
And the Kotaku neckbeard that feels the need to scold any user that buys a Marvel product and deals without a USB 4.0, including the Jimmy Choo heels I've been eyeing. 🙄
