The soft close hinge broke 5 times for my biobidet dib. They sent me new dampers 2 times because they thought it was the issue, and 2 new lids because the plastic actually broke off. The lid broke off again and I just gave up asking for replacement, something's definitely wrong with it. Compare to my other brondell brand, the warm water lasts much longer, only good thing I can say about it.
The touch remotes are awful. We've gone through a few BioBidet seats now between my and parents/inlaws houses, due to various things breaking, and the USPA 6800 which is now discontinued was the only one where the remote did not have problems.
So sorry you had some issues with the soft close! Definitely feel free to reach out to our support team. We can help resolve that slow close issue.

The manual states this is model UB-6800H, UB-6800HS - how does this differ from 6800? Were the issues resolved?
I initially purchased the Bio Bidet USPA 6800U Bidet Seat from Costco for $200 and that one is great with a nice single hand-held remote, two side.
At next sale, I bought 3 of UB-6800H at Costco for this price and they all went back.
This model is nothing like the USPA 6800U. It is loud, does not clean well, and has a huge remote.
The whole unit is not worth even $100.
Worth reading the reviews on CostCo. Only 3.5 stars. Lots of complaints about things stopping working (heater, light seat, broken hinges) after a relatively short amount of time. $369 at Costco so big price difference - not worth buying at CostCo to get their 3 year warraty.
What kind of a warranty through BioBidet? I'd suggest using a credit card that extends the warranty by a year.
Maybe it can't take the abuse? Watch what you eat! 😆
What was the resolution? They asked me to pay for parts and shipping.
I got a full refund from Costco. I had purchased it in Feb of 2021, so I had 2 months left on the warranty, in any case, but Costco is supposed to be pretty good about coverage and if you've got the issue, they might just take care of it no matter how old.
As for everyone with questions about this model, I've had it installed since last Friday (Jan 12) and it's been great so far.
The warm water lasts the entire cycle
The single-sided remote has large, easy to use controls, versus the two-sided one from the older 6800
Use teflon tape and don't over-tighten connections and you'll have a better chance of preventing leaks (can't help you if something breaks inside, but these are good practices anyway)
As for the price, yeah, $369 would be too much, but $200 works alright. The older USPA6800 was bought from Costco at $100 off, so it was $219 originally, making this replacement actually less expensive. I can't speak to other manufacturers, but BioBidet has been fine so far with the exception of the hinges.
My uspa 6800 from Costco just developed an internal leak. I guess I can return it to Costco but I feel weird about returning a used bidet…
Pack it in plastic garbage bags. Leave it in your car. Tell the service desk you want to return it, its in your car but don't want to expose them to the toxic waste you've been blasting all over it. Odds are they will just refund you.
Otherwise do the walk of shame and get the toilet seat from your car, knowing they're quietly judging you for returning your robot toilet paper.
I got one from Costco about a year ago and its leaking. Reached out to support under warranty and they want me to pay to ship to them to take a look. So money, hassle, and who knows how long it would even take. No thanks.

Yeah, I have a 6800 I bought from Woot! in 2016 (open box no less) that just keeps on chugging along - especially once I learned how easy it is to remove and clean the spray nozzles. But the 6800u I bought a few years ago (which I never really liked as much as the 6800 for a couple reasons) just developed an internal leak maybe two weeks ago.
I'm just not willing to return this to Costco after all this time and dealing with support doesn't seem worth it at this point. (Or maybe I'm just ticked about all the water damage to my baseboard since it took me so long to figure out the water was coming from inside the bidet itself.)
I'm just bummed Costco is currently out of stock of the Novita BH-93's. It's become my favorite.
I was looking to replace my Costco bioBidet 6800 from 2021, due to the soft-close hinges breaking (a known issue,) and Costco doesn't have that model anymore so I could get a full refund but couldn't get a replacement, and the similar model (this one, actually) is listed at $359, so I checked the manufacturer and the rest is history!
FYI....saw an article where someone fixed theirs by adding some strong epoxy on both sides of the soft close mechanism and it fixed theirs for good. Would have to google search it....it was in a review I think.
bought this one from costco 1 year and 3 months ago. it just started to leak internally and all over my bathroom. pipes were fine, leads into it were fine, just ruptured from the inside. it's on it's way back to costco right now thanks to their 100% satisfaction guarantee, which i was incredibly thankful for. that peace of mind is something you do not get ordering straight from the website, and a warranty may only get you so far. judging from the rest of the comments, this seems to be a common problem.
also, the crevices on this thing are incredibly hard to clean efficiently. i would consider finding something else, even if more expensive.
