Does anyone know if there is a big difference in quality between the budget and better?
The budgets don't seem to be standard diameter. Spec (in inches) is 17.72" +/- .04, so the advertised diameter of 17.75" for the "better" meets that. However, budgets are advertised as 17.9". This could be a problem if you already have other plates.
Somewhat strangely, the width of the "budget" is more narrow than "better" (just looking at the 45s). I'd have expected the budgets to be a less dense material, but perhaps that it due to the larger-than-standard diameter vs. materials - don't feel like doing the math.
Anyone have experience with the "Color Best"? Thinking about getting 4x45 2x25 and 4x10 plates to replace all my iron
I have the 4x45s and 2x55s. They are extremely durable. I have owned them for 7 years now and one set of 45s gets used almost everyday and they look barely used.
