Chatted with GC, and there is no new stock in their warehouse. Still a great value, just don't expect a pristine new guitar.

According to the agent who sold me two Fenders and a PRS, GC/MF only has one central warehouse in Kansas, and "new" guitars shipped from there are guaranteed to be new-in-box. There might be some new-in-box ones shipped from local guitar centers, but I never had luck with that.

I had it shipped to the local GC store. It came in today from Kansas. It looked brand new with all of the plastic cover but there are 2 large cracks on the laquer finish running along the body in front and 1 in back. Usually sudden change in temperature could cause these type of cracks. It was shipped in a Taylor guitar box, with bubble wrap, so it was not new in box. I plugged in at the store and played a little. The sound was thin for me. I asked for a refund. Good luck on yours.
