Cons: Not a PCI-E 5.0/ATX 3.0 unit. Older Seasonic PSU platforms have a fairly aggressive OCP system that doesn't deal with modern GPU's transient spikes very well.
Decent deal but IMO an 850 watt PCI-E 5.0 unit will be a better buy in this price range. It's almost required to upsize by 150-300 watts for a non PCI-E 5.0 unit to handle the transient spikes, depending on the GPU. On the other hand, if it's for a non-gaming PC this will pump out 1000 watts all day long without issues.

If it's going to be "6 months", then maybe you'd better hold off...

If this unit were to struggle with any GPU, hypothetically, it would be the RTX 4090—at least the variants recommending 1000W PSUs (again, hypothetically). But, if you're buying a 4090, you most likely won't mind spending more on another A-tier, ATX 3.0, platinum/titanium PSU.

If you're looking to build a $1500–2000 rig, you can wait... There are always deals on similar PSUs in the $120–$150 range (e.g., currently, be quiet! Pure Power 12 M, Deepcool PQ1000M, Thermaltake Toughpower GF3, FSP Group Hydro PTM X PRO, Super Flower Leadex Platinum SE, Montech TITAN GOLD 1000W (ATX 3.0)). But if you're on a tight budget, this is a very good deal at this quality and wattage. You might not need 1000W right away, but if you think you'll upgrade to a power-hungrier GPU in the next 1–2 years, it will help not having to also replace the PSU when you upgrade.
My guess is that, with the release of newer ATX 3.0 PSUs, many of the ATX 2.2 (which are still plenty good) will continue to see price decreases in the near future.

I think this brand/series offers a 10-12 year warranty so that shows confidence this psu is built well.
Will buy Phanteks or Seasonic again if I build another pc

Here is more info on the Seasonic issues you were likely experiencing, from https://cultists.networ

Any of the A-tier, ATX 3.0 PSUs found here should work well: https://cultists.networ
