Those Microcenter refurbs are great. My last purchase was on a refurb C1 and I found out that basically these are LG factory returns or line products that are inspected and rechecked. In my case I nicely asked the saleman if when he pulled the TV if he could grab one that wasn't in the brown box. I loaded it up drove home and it was like NEW and the it had an hour on it. One last thing if you have concerns just buy the 2 or 3 yr warranty for piece of mind.

I bought a refurb 65C2 from Microcenter last year. It worked fine for about a month before it started having really weird video processing issues, ultimately refusing to power on after two months of owning it.

LG support was useless, as there are no authorized LG repair techs in my area apparently.

In the end, LG refunded me the cost of the TV.

I did some research online, found that this problem typically indicates a bad main board. So I ordered a used Main Board off eBay for like $100, installed it (it's relatively easy to do so, all you need is a screwdriver and a 2nd set of hands to help you lift the TV up and lay it flat) and that fixed the issue. TV works good as new now.

New 77 inch C2s and B3s are $1999 at Walmart and Bestbuy. Do these refurbs come with extended warranties or the full factory warranty?

I didn't see an extended warranty offered on MC's website. If an extended warranty is an option, then this becomes slightly more attractive. A 77" C3 open box on BB's website is ~$2000, but is location-dependent and would probably tack on another ~$350.

Yes it's available at the store, I believe its based on the purchase price and length of warranty so it wasn't a set fee I don't remember how much I paid but I was uncomfortable paying so much on a refurb and the price was reasonable. I'll see if I can find it to give an example.

Heads-up, no more warranty covering screen burn-in…tried this earlier (tried purchasing a 3 year extended warranty).
