Virgin is part of Sky team Alliance and AI is part of Star Alliance. Who handles the baggage transfer? Which airline issues the ticket?

Tried with a stop over for 3 days, it showed around $930. May change based on dates.

I was able to book 3 tickets for $651 in same ticket. Try another day. There were some other days which works which is not listed in OP - Ex: Jun 8 return

Do you need transit visa at LHR? For Indian nationality.

My parents live there(retired 10 years ago), but my visa was denied multiple times to be able to go. I haven't seen my parents in 6 years because they're not physically able to travel to me anymore. I'm a U.S. citizen, born and raised here. Is there any work around?πŸ™πŸ½

I'd suggest avoiding Air India. I've had terrible experiences with them.

"My Parents Live there"? are they Indian citizens? if so you can get a OCI card instead of applying for a Visa?
