I've had a unit like this for the past 12 years. The big positive, is being able to put a load in to wash and dry before leaving for work (or going to sleep) and having it done by the time I'm back. The negative - it takes 3-5 hours for a load to go through wash and dry. I dont recall this ever being an issue for me, as we dont typically have anything that needs to be washed and dried quickly - but thats something to keep in mind when considering this machine

Do you have a unit with an actual heat pump? Lg and other brands have sold other models that don't use heat pumps. They use a cooling plate powered by water which causes it to take much longer to dry. I have one of those units as well, and i agree its not for everyone cause if you need something dried fast or just cleaned fast its just not going to happen. But the heat pump based units are much faster (wash and dry in 2-3 hours). Slightly slower than a traditional drier . But pretty darn close in my opinion and no need to move the close saves you some time as well(unless you need to take things out of the drier to air dry). The other big change that takes people a bit to get used to that all ventless units have is that they build up humidity in the machine. When you open it up once the cloths is done the cloths will almost feel a bit moist. This is just cause the air in the chamber is a bit humid. But it does confuse people the first time around.

Overall, all-in-one units are amazing in their convenience and efficiency, but they introduce some new quirks that you do need to get used to. I personally don't think i can ever go back to any other type of unit.

I have been using the GE Profile all in one for the last couple of months and it takes about 2 hours for a full load. These newer models use heat pumps to generate hot air. Older models of all in ones used a different technology. Check and see what yours is. May explain why it takes so long.

120v? You have got to be kidding! Anazing.
It's a heat pump dryer, so doesn't use much more electricity than a dehumidifier.

Yup, no outside vent required, so you can literally put this machine anywhere you can plug a 120v appliance to.
And a drain. Not intending to be pedantic but important to note.

pretty sure this technology isn't available 12 years ago. you might just have the old heat coil technology.

Anyone living in the country considering it? Space is not an issue with us, but dealing with extra long exhaust path in the house we moved in and our washer and dryer are aging. Thinking this would be ideal without a need for ventilation.

Never seen one of these, just read the reviews and it sounds pretty awesome actually!
Where did you find reviews of this specific unit?

I just bought a washer wm6700hba and dlex6500 open box set from Best Buy otd for 1500. What's nice is, I was able to register them into the lg thinq app, and both was approved for the 2nd year free lg warranty. Despite it saying giant letters, open box and discounted units not eligible on tos.

I got a nice person from Britain who approved them on phone.

These washer dryers are amazing, looks like this unit. But separate units

I purchased the wash tower with heat pump combo. I was able to purchase for $1769 after discounts (not including CA heat pump rebate and not including 30% tax rebate). Install is coming this Saturday, pretty excited for it as my current washer dryer stops during spin down and drying takes a long time.

You kind of have nothing if your washer (of a washer/dryer pair) goes down.

This deal could not have shown up at a better time! Was literally going to buy a new washer and dryer today! Our 12 year old Whirlpool Cabrio washer is beyond its last leg.
LOL, I thought I was the only one who thought he hadn't heard the phrase 'I'm going to go do the drying'.

That washer/dryier has been that price for a while. Reviews are not great. If that is the same one in the post, maybe worth when the GE one goes back on sale. Thanks
That cheaper model uses a condenser instead of a heat pump.

I'm just going to get two, then the long run times won't matter as much and you would have a backup if one were to break.
Or replace your washer, keep your dryer. Then if you need to cycle many loads you can move the old traditional way after wash to the dryer, or if you just have something hand washed, wet towels, clothes wet from rain, handwashing, etc. or just needs a quick refresh, you can throw into the dryer.

Put anywhere since 120v and ventless……….just make sure you have cold/hot water supply and drain. No biggie. 😂

Get the GE Profile All-in-One. It takes 1h45m-2hrs typically for wash+dry.
I've had three various LG all-in-one washers (small and large) and latest is GE Profile. The LG's ranged from 3.5hrs-6hrs for wash+dry. I primarily use my GE washer and not my other two LG's. Other issues i've had with LG: the older LG's pump consistently failed; the newer LG seems to eat up small socks and would require you to drain to open the filter located on the bottom. The GE's filter is on top which you can clean without draining the water.

The GE was around $2k when I purchased from Costco a few months ago.

EDIT: If you plan on installing the units upstairs, the GE is extremely heavy ~300lbs. The LG's were about half the weight ~160lbs. Generally all-in-one's are much heavier than conventional units but the GE is very heavy.
