I've had a unit like this for the past 12 years. The big positive, is being able to put a load in to wash and dry before leaving for work (or going to sleep) and having it done by the time I'm back. The negative - it takes 3-5 hours for a load to go through wash and dry. I dont recall this ever being an issue for me, as we dont typically have anything that needs to be washed and dried quickly - but thats something to keep in mind when considering this machine

Do you have a unit with an actual heat pump? Lg and other brands have sold other models that don't use heat pumps. They use a cooling plate powered by water which causes it to take much longer to dry. I have one of those units as well, and i agree its not for everyone cause if you need something dried fast or just cleaned fast its just not going to happen. But the heat pump based units are much faster (wash and dry in 2-3 hours). Slightly slower than a traditional drier . But pretty darn close in my opinion and no need to move the close saves you some time as well(unless you need to take things out of the drier to air dry). The other big change that takes people a bit to get used to that all ventless units have is that they build up humidity in the machine. When you open it up once the cloths is done the cloths will almost feel a bit moist. This is just cause the air in the chamber is a bit humid. But it does confuse people the first time around.

Overall, all-in-one units are amazing in their convenience and efficiency, but they introduce some new quirks that you do need to get used to. I personally don't think i can ever go back to any other type of unit.

I have been using the GE Profile all in one for the last couple of months and it takes about 2 hours for a full load. These newer models use heat pumps to generate hot air. Older models of all in ones used a different technology. Check and see what yours is. May explain why it takes so long.

Has anyone notice cycles not getting recorded in the app?
So far I've only done 3 cycles, but last cycle wasn't recorded. If this keeps up, I dont think the tub cleaning reminder will be accurate.

I had an unplanned fiter tray removal, typical LG annoyance they use adhesive disc to cover up the screw access. So stupid to do that on an maintance item. They do this on their laptops as well, I can slightly understand that.

It is recommended to run empty for several wash/dry cycles to help get rid of the smell. I have run 2 loads so far and it's been great.

I am worried about mold getting in the ezDispense tray. Any recommendations on how to keep this clean?
ezDispense tray is removable and can be cleaned easily. Here is a video how: https://youtu.be/cgDZwHzjTFo?si=HaVofOwU3Es9MynT

Thanks!

Does anyone know how to view the total time of each cycle in the app? I only see the time the cycle finished.

I noticed this while inspecting the unit at a local home depot. I peeled back the stickers to confirm there were indeed screws behind them.

Do you happen to have a photo of the lint tray removed? I didn't want to start uncrewing stuff at Home Depot, I figured they would frown upon that. I was very curious to see the inside, how deep it is, and how difficult it might be to clean.

My delivery is tomorrow. It sounds like I should pick up some connector hoses just in case they don't bring any?
I ordered the pedestal and I'm wondering if I should still buy a drip tray depending on if it will block the drawer

We also got the pedestal and could not use it with the drip tray since the drawer would not open all the way. I even considered cutting the front edge of the tray but that would defeat the purpose of the drip tray. It's probably best not to use the tray to also avoid any imbalance or sliding that may come from using it.

I did not get pictures. I wasn't even planning on removing it, but as I was cleaning the lint filter box, I saw lint on the guard cover at the rear with lint and some how I managed to remove it and it doesn't go back without remove the tray unit.

Cleaning didn't look too bad. The fins were about an inch back from the left edge of the opening when looking at unit straight on. I think some soft bristle brush and a vacuum hose should do the trick.

Not too deep then?

The GE's unit extend DEEP into the unit. Pretty much front to back, which makes reaching the back very difficult especially through the very thin opening, 1 inch.

I was caution anyone cleaning this to be very very careful with the fins. You really don't want to bend any of the fins. Which is why easy access is important, you want to be able to see what you are doing vs blindly sticking something in there and swinging it around.

What do you recommend for cleaning the fins? Would a swiffer duster be safe?

Ben seemed concerned about cleaning, mainly because of the right angle from the well to the fins.

When I looked it it, I think a stubby brush (cut down paint brush?) and a vacuum nozzle should have access, but I didn't actually try.

Home Depot and Lowes sell a low profile drip tray that lets you open the drawer. It clips the lip a little but it opens freely.

I know people want to try to use a vacuum, which I guess i fine. But I'd be worried about banging the fins with the hard plastic tip of the wand. Even if it has bristles, I'd be warry of this.

I guess a nice soft brush would be best, and then always move the brush from bottom to top in line with the direction of the fins.

Thanks for those links. I just watched them. It looks super easy to access, which makes me happy. I don't think it will be a huge issue to clean this area, and I fully expect that I will be cleaning this once a month. Any heat pump dryer will have this issue, otherwise it will suffer as the fins get clogged. I also don't think its 100% impossible to keep lint from reaching this area so anyone with a heat pump dryer should be performing this regularly.

I also looked at his tear down of the GE unit and although he seemed impressed I wasn't. The fact the GE unit is "all in one" and easily replaceable also makes it very difficult to clean. He never opened it to the point where we could see the fins. I'm not saying its a sealed unit, although it might be. But disassembly to the point where you could easily access the fins is MUCH harder. So although you can simply pull the entire unit out and drop a new one in, cleaning it would be incredibly difficult.

I'm running into the same situation. I tried running a VERY small load of 8-10 pieces of clothing. Shirts, boxers, socks and similar. Each time it's taken 7-8 hours before I stop it manually. The experience that pushed me over the edge for a return was this one... I started a small load at 6pm, washing went fine. Dry time kept being extended by 4 minutes or 12 minutes. This continued to happen for several hours. I finally went to bed and figured it would finish overnight. I woke up the next morning and it was still running. Drying went on for 13 hours total before I finally stopped it manually.

I'll give phone support credit for trying to help me troubleshoot the issue, however in many cases they don't even know about this combo unit existing. You end up having to explain the product to them. One rep asked me if the installers checked the system after installation. I told him that they started a wash cycle and that it seemed to run fine. He said "then why are you trying to return the item?" I had to explain that the installers didn't stick around for 4 hours to make sure the dryer also worked.

Last but not least, the return process is painful. Each of the two departments involved ping-ponged me back and forth swearing that they could not process the return and that the other department would take care of it. I probably spoke with 10 reps in the process. Finally, the last rep I spoke to said I needed to email the returns department. I did that two days ago. So far... zero response.

Today I finally gave up hoping for a response and opened a dispute with my credit card company. I took screenshots of the invoice and return window policy to submit to my CC company.

For those of you that got working units, that's great. I wish that had been my experience. For those on the fence I hope my experience might be helpful in managing expectations.
Curious if there are updates on your progress. I've also been trying to contact them for the damaged unit I received. I spoke with 2 agents and was eventually instructed to email proof of damage. I received about an email response a week as I pushed for a response. At this rate, I'm certain it'll be past the return period as they sort things out. I was hoping I wouldn't have to outsource to Amex…

Just made my two week video of cleaning the "lint" and pump filter.
I did get a little lint buildup over two weeks. But it's easy to clean and nothing as bad as the GE.
