BTW, since I don't see a core charge for these. People should be able to get $10 by brining it into Advance Auto for at $10 Gift card.

Consider it a rebate card or another $10 off if you need battery accessories.

Since I don't know your exact setup or needs, I'll say that generally you want to keep a starting battery at 80% charge or above, and preferably keep it fully charged between uses.

Deep cycle batteries should be charged between uses as well, but can tolerate much deeper discharge without damage, so long as they're charged pretty quickly after use.

A starting battery can give you a much higher load in amps; a deep cycle battery is a reliable power source for long periods at lower amp loads.
That's why I used the words "core charge". With places like Autozone, Advanced Auto, Pep Boys or Local shops, you get charged a "core charge" aka deposit until returned on the old battery. When you bring back the battery, they give you that "deposit" aka, "core" charge back.

As this vendor is doing everything by mail, and not a big outfit they are not charging a "core charge" or deposit since the cost to ship it back far exceeds any deposit. Not worth it. But worth it for you to take it to Advanced Auto or your local junk yard which pays you as well. Might be $5-$15 depending on the place.

In the end, many places will send all the batteries back to the manufacturer to melt down the lead or metals inside for new batteries.

The same can be charged for things like alternators, brake calipers and starters where they can clean them, rebuild them and resell them.

I bought one from Amazon and a family member bought one direct from Weize. No real difference in experiences, and both batteries are solid. If I had to buy today, I'd buy direct for the savings. Mine will be a year old in April.
Thanks for your quick response 👍
ended up buying 1 direct as it looks as if there is no tax when paying with shop pay. but we will see what the final charge is in the end.

update: ended up receiving today 01.13.2024, 2 days after it was ordered and had a Voltage of 12.89V

Happy to help. Come back and share your first impressions once it arrives, if you like.

Will do. From what I've seen it looks like this company is fairly new. I think about 6 years old

48 close enough to 78 for me. Hate those side terminals anyway. Thanks, OP.

I researched them last year before buying my Group 48, and as I recall this company was founded by a chemical engineer in China and has developed an excellent reputation with their powersports AGMs. They started selling automotive sizes in the US a year or so ago, best I can tell. We will only know in 4 or 5 more years how good the automotive ones are. At these prices I was definitely willing to roll the dice, and so far I'm glad I did.

Nice, and same here for the cost and rolling the dice. It's nearly $120 cheaper than the dealer. And $50 cheaper than Walmart and Costco is just a bit higher than Walmart. Thanks again. Take care. I'll update upon delivery and see what the voltage is at after delivery

Does anyone know how warranty works with this company? Seems like office is in California,

It's not like Sams club, Autozone, Pep boys, Costco etc when warranty exchange is needed where you can just walk into a store and swap.

Unless they have a distribution network locally, being without a battery for more than 1 day for some might be a problem if it requires shipping cross country.

This is a case where you hope you don't need to use the warranty, because if you do it won't be as easy as swapping out at a local store. I did the math on mine and if it lasts 2 years or more I'm still money ahead with no warranty replacement. That's a bet I was willing to make, but ultimately it's your personal choice to weigh between savings now and the possibility of warranty hassles later.

Average AGM battery life is 5-6 years if treated well.

Understood. I have an H8 AGM in my car from Pep Boys bought around the same price after rebate 5 yrs ago. Last NON AGM battery from Advance lasted 8 years.

This is going into a car of a family member who is not mechanically inclined and their primary car.

While my history with batteries and as a secondary car doesn't apply, i'll have to weigh the inconvenience for them not for me. Might be worth the extra $30-$40 for THEM

Cool. Sorry if I presented you with any moral dilemmas by posting these so cheap. And I get that you want maximum reliability in a situation like that, where a warranty swap is easy if needed.

Yes, Coincidentally, their Interstate non AGM H5 was giving them issue recently (5yrs old) They brought it to Autozone for a test and showed 79% capacity. So looked into pricing for them 3 weeks ago.

Cheapest Non AGM was $133 at Sams club and $199 for AGM at Costco, both 1 mile away from their home. Suddenly got this deal alert and was about to pull the trigger until I realized it's not for me and warranty swap might be an issue for them.

My nephew just got the H5 Weize for his Colorado. The old battery was so toasted that he was carrying a jump pack with him out of necessity until the new one showed up. Yeah I ribbed him a little about that. Good times.
