Deluxe+State not including e-file for that state is such a scam move intending to deceive anyone not paying attention.

Now that Intuit is requiring people to register the software to an account beginning this filing year, I'll be moving over to this software. Intuit has gone full on EVIL although they were pretty evil even before this. They want to know everything about a person and they reserve the right to sell the information... thus making them a powerful data broker. No thanks Intuit!

For premium, the description is Windows and Mac, but seems to have selected Windows only download, without an option of chosing Mac. However, I clicked on the "Boxed" edition link, and got the same discount, with the same discount code and that is Windows and Mac. Same price, just have to wait a week for delivery.

How good is the windows version for sub-chapter S tax returns - the 1120s and the K-1? I usually buy the TurboTax versions, but this is a less costly

I was using this for my S Corp for years and it was okay - not as easy to use as TurboTax though. Two years ago, though, I wasn't even been able to access/use the software due to an error. I suspect it was a configuration on my old computer that it did not interact well with. But just know that's a possibility and that support is unlikely to be helpful if that's the case. (Last year, it worked fine)

Bought premium&business even though I should really be looking at the other freetax options.

I truly hate that the software UI has not changed in like a decade, its the same program every year with very minor changes. The UI Doesn't scale so text is tiny on a large monitor, same fo the help windows text.

Also the whole locking your mouse during an update is annoying. You can alt tab but still a pain that they refuse to change.

I know some people love H&R Block software, but I'll never buy it again. Used it a couple of years ago and a formula error misallocated income between two states, creating an underpayment for one of the states. Sending all the proof and petitioning them for their "guarantee" went nowhere and took months for a response. SHOCKINGLY their "review" went their way. I know TurboTax is more expensive and I hate both of these companies, their lobbying and nickel and diming, but at least I've never had these problems w/TT. Use at your own risk.

Wait till end of tax season and buy from eBay. It's much cheaper when reseller try to unload before it become useless

Last year I got premium for $28. This has inflated the most compared to others .. deluxe etc
