That is perfectly fine for this configuration. Most people get wrong idea by looking at the recommended power supply from the GPU manufacturer's site without realizing those were given for the worst case scenarios, using ultra high end processors and other components.
For this build, even at peak load, 5600G consumes around 81W of power and RTX 3060, around 175W. So,even at peak load for both CPU and GPU, you'll still have around 144W remaining for powering the rest of the components. Also, this is the worst case scenario because in real world cases like Gaming, both the components are never gonna be utilized 100% together, that only can be seen in torture test.

When you buy a prebuild, they will give you specification needed for that configuration. Anyway, this uses standard ATX PSU. So, you can upgrade to a higher wattage one easily.

There are plenty of way to upgrade it. DDR4 is not dead at all, even all the Intel's latest Desktop processors support it. And for AM3 platform, there are plenty of CPU options available for upgrade to get niceboost in gaming or productivity. You can easily get a Ryzen 7 5800X3D or even the upcoming Ryzen 7 5700X3D in this platform to get a nice boost in performance. Not sure why you think DDR4makes it non-upgradable.

I think you meant to say AM4 platform but I definitely agree this PC has room for one round of upgrades (CPU, GPU, PSU, and maybe RAM) before needing to get in a newer platform.

I would wait for something like the ZOTAC G3 PCs that were on Woot recently. It was only $50 more than this and had a newer gen/better version of practically every component.

you don't think the 12GB of vram in this deal makes up for the difference against the 8gb of vram in the zotac you linked?

DDR4 is DEAD. Just like how AM4 is now considered a dead platform. Intel technically supports ddr4 in their lga 1700 CPU's, but I doubt this will continue in their newer generation.

Dead, does not mean unusable, which is what it sounds like you think it means. DDR4 is fine for many use cases, but regardless it's still an outdated and (while there is some legacy support for it), is still an abandoned platform. Many mobo manufactures started discontinuing DDR4 mobos because there is simply no need to continue making them, because why would you buy a DDR4 mobo when you can get a DDR5 variant for not that much more money, if any more at all?

In addition, it doesn't really make too much sense (In my humble opinion) to bother upgrading this thing. If you only plan on upgrading the CPU into a 5800x3d (as you said), you'd be getting a performance increase in some titles but most would not see any noticeable upgrade except in very CPU bound games (checked some benchmarks, look at the bottom of the reply). Moreso, you'd be held back by the 3060 in the pc.If you really want to buy this with the intention of upgrading, you'd be better off just building your own from scratch. It'd be roughly the same price for equivalent specs (wouldn't recommend this build exactly, but as a quick list thrown together https://pcpartpicker.com/list/p2rLfy). You'd get full control over it, not have to worry about proprietary parts and can make yourself a proper upgrade path.
