Check to see if chase still offers up to 51 dollars back from Samsung if you pay using chase credit card. You can stack up to 2 of these offers by splitting the cost of the payment in two if you have more than 1 card for up to 102 dollars off.
I'm only not biting on these Fold deals, because they treat a trade-in for an $1800 Fold the same as a much cheaper Ultra. If I could buy up into the Fold and trade to the next version for the same difference as the rest of the phones, I'd jump on it!
my fold 3 died and is being repaired under warranty (I believe) in one of the samsung service center.. Hopefully this deal is still alive once its repaired and shipped back to me..
The deal won't be alive. You have like 3p days after you get the phone to send your old phone in, or can even extend that, or just return the fold 5
Based on the speculation of $750 max trade in towards s24u it's actually cheaper for me to get the fold5 instead of the upcoming s24u. No way I'd be able to find an s23u online for $200 to use as trade in
I have a Samsung S21 Ultra 5G and don't want to lose the incredible camera this phone has. I can't find any true comparisons on actual use between the two phones. If switching to the Flip from the S21 Ultra, can I expect a drop in picture and video quality?
I just took off inner screen protector a year ago. Screen is fine except for couple of light scratches. Will they accept the trade in as "regular" trade in? Or do I have to go to the shop to get the screen protector on in order for them to accept it?

You will most definitely. The flip has an inferior cam, but software processing slightly improves the quality. However, if you compare with your S21U side by side, you'll not like it.
Using Flip5 for the last 6 months, my unsolicited pros and cons:
Cons:
1. Battery life is lacking. More so if you use the internal full screen a lot.
2. Single hand usage is difficult.
3. Cover screen lets you do only so much as viewing weather, setting alarm, etc. Other apps are accessible but not practically useable full time.
4. Camera is subpar for current standards.
5. Samsung restricts a lot of basic functionality on cover screen like changing quick setting toggles, adding app widgets, etc. No native support for app launchers or phone app.
6. I've heard a lot of samsung foldable screens having issues. I had to get it replaced at 3 month mark due to the green line issue. Apparently, this is a common problem, especially to those out of warranty.
7. You cannot call/answer in folded mode unless the speaker is on.
Pros:
1. Carrying is easier due to size.
2. Video calls and cam recording are handy if you can use the folded mode often.
3. Cover screen eliminates the need of a smart watch unless you use it for activity tracking. Cover screen is more like a bigger watch in terms of functionality.
I really wish Oneplus brings a competing Flip phone given how well their software was for their Fold phone.
