Thanks OP! My 5-year is newly obsessed with Pokemon after we used the Pokemon Smile app to help get him excited about brushing his teeth. I think he'd have a blast watching me play through one of the games and I wasn't ready to shell out $65 for that, so this is great. :-)

How would this be to someone coming back to the series after many years? I played Silver/Gold last and I'm very familiar with the original 151 but probably only recognize a handful from the second gen. Bought Legends Arceus and it's getting here today. Heard it was a newer and different Pokémon experience, so that will be fun to try. Still would like to have one that is closer to the older formula though. I know this is a remaster of the 4th gen games, so would that scratch the itch better than Violet/Scarlet or Sword/Shield?

this is the closet to the og experience witb the chibi art style and pokemon catching, I only played Let's go and Brilliant Diamond cause I couldnt get into the new pokemon games.

if you dont mind waiting a while, you can get the japanese version off ebay for under $20. you just set language to english and everything is in english

Haha silver and gold what's that. Last I played was pokemon red and blue. Well just pokemon red never played blue.
