This is last year's official match ball for La Liga (think Real Madrid, Barcelona). I got the yellow winter ball on closeout a couple months ago. Great deal on a pro level soccer ball. The Extra30 discount is good through 1/15. Free shipping if you spend $60 or more (just get two!).

If you don't own a pro-level ball, this is your chance to get one at a great discount—more than $100 off. I've had the yellow one for a couple of months now, and it is really great quality.

How does this compare to the Nike flight ball? I much prefer the Nike flight ball over the adidas UCL ball.

You guys vouch for this ball? You saying the reviews are wrong about losing color fast? Lost air?

Losing air is generally a common thing with 'pro' level balls.

Pro level balls use latex bladders not rubber. Consumer/prosumer balls have rubber/butyl bladders, they are cheaper and retain air for longer which is what consumers value. Pro balls only have to maintain air for at least 90min, which latex is capable of. Latex balls you have to fill up after only a week, whereas rubber can last months without needing air.

If you've never played with a latex ball, it's absolutely game changing. The ball reacts much more predictably and is more effortless to send. Too bad they are $300+.

Is this good for a 6 yr old to practice with? I think he uses size 4 ball.

I notice this ball is rubber bladder while the $21 adidas tiro match ball from another deal is actually latex bladder. Now I am confused as which one is actually better.

Did some more research and found more consistent good feedback. FIFA Pro certification at this price is very rare. Got 4 for the new team. We play on grass not worried about the scuffing. Rubber bladder on last adidas pro ball deal too

I posted the latex Adidas one as well. This ball is miles better. For those who aren't soccer nerds like me I'll put it in context. This is the Official Match Ball (OMB) for La Liga, Spain's top flight league with some of the best professional teams in the world. This is the ball Messi would have played his professional games with back when he played for Barcelona. They retail for $140. This is an exceptional deal because OMBs don't usually drop this low in price (maybe once a year on closeout).

The Italian top flight league Serie A also uses this same ball with slightly different graphics. The English Football League (lower tiers than the Premier League) also use the same ball with different Graphics.

A six year old would use a size 3 and I don't believe they make professional balls in size 3.

This used to be true. Nike, Puma and Adidas have moved to using Butyl Bladders in their Pro Balls. Select, and Umbro still make pro balls with latex bladders.

I agree though—I love the feel of playing with a Select Numero 10. But if you want a Select FIFA Quality Pro Certified ball you have to shell out $160 or more for a Superbrilliant.

And it also depends on use. Sitting on it, indoor use, kicking it against a wall; those are just a few variables that people dont tell you about when writing reviews. You're right, at this price it's almost a no brainer.

I don't even see this ball being offered in size 4… this is overkill for a 6yo unless he's Mateo messi
