I buy a couple of these 64 packs of the brown cinnamon flavored ones every year or so as emergency rations - they last a minimum of 5-7 years before they taste funky and they keep in my garage for a long time as long as you put them in some sort of hard cased container/storage area so the seal is intact.

Trader joes also sells their own pomegranate-cherry flavor "organic" poptarts as well, they don't last as long but they also use more healthy ingredients.

What sorts of emergencies are you running into where you need 128 poptarts on hand?

Well as an EMT oftentimes we run 6-8 hour days without being able to get a bite to eat, as well as "the big one" that may or may not be inevitable in California.

I was able to repurpose a slim tiny plastic box that I found as a "poptart holder" to keep them from crumbling too.

It took 3 months to get water to New Orleans after Katrina so I'm stocked on water, poptarts and various Long-lasting foods + coffee/monsters.

How many of these will it take to make an 8 foot mascot? We can rebuild him. We have the technology. We can make him better than he was. Better, stronger, Pop-tartier.

Honestly probably better choice for a few days with no power than trying to stockpile rice & beans you'd need potable water & heat to cook.

Someone in my office buys massive amounts of poptarts when they're on sale and sells them for half the price of the vending machine. Win/win for everyone.

I keep them at work for hosting morning meetings when I'm too cheap or lazy to grab donuts for people but want to look like I care a little about people who couldn't get breakfast. The wrappers are pretty so put them out in a nice floral arrangement to grab or serve them on a plate with a fork and knife and cloth napkin place setting at the meeting table.

I appreciate you answering since I was genuinely curious. A couple of those use cases make sense to me of why you'd buy them.
