Dang it. We just bought this for $50 like two weeks ago. Using it now camping to replace an old inexpensive single burner Coleman than had been working like a champ for years. So far, so good.

I have another double stove from Coleman, like this one [amazon.com]

Do you think the windshield there can be used for this foldable stove?
If you can disassemble and reuse, it should be fine.

No, the windshield on the green Colemans is built into the lid. I mean these stoves are same burners so either get green one if you want windshields or get this one if you want something that can fold up

Anybody have measurements for when this stove is folded up? I have a single Coleman burner I take for car camping. It is huge for a single burner. If similar size, would rather have a 2 burner.

I thought they quit making this model! I haven't seen it in store for years, but I have seen others that take the mini cylinders.

I've had mine since right after Hurricane Ike, so like, 15 years. I love it even though mine was defective. One of my burners is all or nothing and has been since I first opened it. I've been planning to fix it forever, meh, I make coffee in with my percolator on that one and cook on the other.

I've bought the "bottle adapter" that will let me refill the small bottles with a big one, but I've yet to use it, people literally give me extra bottles out of the blue they don't need anymore when they find out I have this (and the lantern that fits them).

I was the hero of the apartment complex when Hurricane Harvey took out our power for a few days and word got out my apartment was the one to get coffee at.

Just make sure you have your bottle at the right angle, the bottle is supposed to be facing connector up, not down. I don't know how big a difference it actually makes, but I can feel the "refrigerated" gas line when it's down, I think there's an addition danger when it's down instead of up. Just do it right and contemplate the differences in your head.

(I also have to very old white-gas green ones I inherited - I'm gonna rebuild those in the next couple of months)

I have two of those that are at least 50 years old.

I'm about to start buying parts to rebuild them.

Amazingly enough, the parts are available.

(well, the white gas version, but they have the same chasis)

We got it for $50 from Amazon. Probably not worth it for $10, although we're thinking about it.
