Bonus/Account Information: Offer not available to existing Chase checking customers, or those whose accounts have been closed within 90 days or closed with a negative balance within the last 3 years. You can receive only one new checking account opening related bonus every two years from the last coupon enrollment date and only one bonus per account. Coupon is good for one-time use. To receive the bonus: 1) Open a new Chase Total Checking account, which is subject to approval; AND 2) Have your direct deposits totaling $500 or more made into the new checking account within 90 days of coupon enrollment. Your direct deposit needs to be an electronic deposit of your paycheck, pension or government benefits (such as Social Security) from your employer or the government. Person to Person payments (such as Zelle®) are not considered a direct deposit. Micro-deposits do not qualify as a direct deposit for the bonus. Micro-deposits are small deposits, typically less than $1, that are sent to your account to verify it is the correct account. After you have completed all the above requirements, we'll deposit the bonus in your new account within 15 days. To receive this bonus, the enrolled account must not be closed or restricted at the time of payout. Eligibility may be limited based on account ownership. Bonus is considered interest and will be reported on IRS Form 1099-INT (or Form 1042-S, if applicable).
Offer availability subject to change. Other Chase checking bonus offers may exist concurrently.

Does anyone here know if a ACH/Direct transfer from Fidelity/Cap1/Schwab would qualify for DD?

Old post but this is front page again so I'll add a datapoint - I used Fidelity for this deal 2 months ago and it counted as a direct deposit. Rather than linking the account directly to my Fidelity, as in with microdeposits, I set the Chase account up in Fidelity as an external person, and just sent the funds that way. Not sure if it matters.
I had an account with Chase for 11 years. I had opened a dispute on a payment to Best Buy for 2000 dollars. They mailed me a computer, and recalled the shipment because it had been delayed for weeks. Bestbuy signed for the package and they charged me for it. I called chase opened the dispute, I had all the chat logs and emails from Best Buy to prove my case. Chase waited 5 months to decided the case, they said I signed for it, although it was not delivered to my address and I did not sign for it name was someone foreign to me. Chase hires only H1B support agents, even in disputes. I appealed the decision the day they decided against me, their rebuttal was I waited to long to appeal. Do yourself a favor and don't into bed with these guys.
FYI...I have done multiple checking account free money programs....and Chase by far is the biggest PITA for dealing with. Their security is way to tight. Make you jump through all kinds of hoops.

Yeah I recently had a problem with Best Buy as well -- and after doing a full day's research, it boiled down to their delivery service: Roadie. These are the bottom-of-the-barrel drivers, that are paid the worst and therefore do the lowest quality effort. Do a google search for it and tons of results.
I bought a $700 item to be delivered, and I made plans to stay home all day and it never came. Wasted my entire day, since I didn't want any porch pirates to steal it. Then, the next day it was supposedly 'delivered', and it's nowhere near my house, the photo is not even of my door (and I have cameras to notify me of packages). Best Buy claims it was delivered, and I argued with them to check the GPS coordinates and everything,

Chase definitely has security too tight -- I experienced this when trying to apply for their Freedom Flex card. I even sent multiple docs including picture of DL. The only way of getting that card was to actually go inside a branch, and let them handle it. Credit score over 800 and every other card I apply for gets auto-approved.

Thank you. I was just looking for this yesterday and couldn't find it and was disappointed after getting the mailing/email for years
is it two years from when you received the bonus, or two years when you closed the account?
It's been a while, but I am pretty sure it's 2 years from when the acount is closed. But I'd double check with your local CHASE branch first. Sadly, I don't qualify to do these anymore because I am listed as co-owner on my mothers Chase accounts. I really miss that extra $600 but what are you gonna do?! Good luck!

I assume the branch was able to get you approved? Were you at or over 5/24? Perhaps you share a name with someone on their sh*tlist?

Thank you so much for posting the DP, I actually ended up getting the bonus after sending ach/pay from biz to personal as was the requirement as I wasn't sure if Fidelity would work and no one had posted any DPs.

Yeah branch automatically approved me on the spot, and I even asked for expedited.
I initially asked about getting a Chase card around Sept 17th in another thread here on Slickdeals, and this kind fellow told me to follow the Chase flowchart for getting a credit card:

I just did this last month and have everything setup now. Just waiting for the bonuses to hit.
Question: I thinking to setup a separate account for my kid but in true slickdeals fashion, what to wait until Chase offers bonus cash to do so. Anyone know how often (if at all) those offers come along and for what type of account they are offered for?
IS this promotion for total $900 still valid and if so, could someone share the actual link? I received Chase coupon in the mail but it's only for $300 checking...

I got Charles Schwab. Can you tell me how to setup the DP?
