I never knew anyone in real life who was 6'2" and wore a size medium. What am I missing with these clothing models?

I wear a size XL with the classic Cabela's 3 Season Jacket, but I don't dare to order a XL here with no exchanges/returns allowed.

This is true to size. I wear X-Small (I'm 5'5" 130-lbs) in all brands and this one fit perfect. I ordered the gray one and was so impressed with the material and craftsmanship (e.g. really nice stitches and fit ), that I went back to order the brown one as well - a STEAL at this price because putting it side-by-side next to some of my Calvin Klein jackets for instance, this one looks and feels more premium.

So I opened it. Medium fit comfy, loose. Small fits snug and tight. Still wearable if i dont move my arms up much and keep it unzipped. I plan to lose around 10 lbs by May so it should fit perfect by then. I'm 5'7" 150 ish and small was too snug currently. Since no returns I'm just giving the mediums as late Christmas presents to family members. Much nicer jacket than I expected, thick , quilted lining. I wish there was a black color. Also no tags mention that it's specifically from banana republic factory, just regular BR label

I'm 6'2" 260 and this jacket is surprisingly roomy. Really well made too. I was expecting a lighter jacket and it's got some weight to it.

I'm 6' 190lb broad chest/shoulders L is decently sized, maybe 1-1.5cm shorter on the arms than I'd like. XL would have been too boxy on the chest and M would have been way too small.

Ordered 2 XXLs, showed up yesterday and only included 1, called and I'm supposed to be refunded for the 2nd one, we'll see how many times I have to call for that to happen since it's been 24 hours and nothing to indicate that's happened.
