Owned one for about a year now. Makes fantastic wings, have cooked a turkey beer can style as well as hot and fast baby back ribs.

It's a great addition to anyone with a Weber or Weber style grill. Careful you can melt rubber knobs if you don't follow instructions

This would be good go my Komado Grill but I use my grill stones for indirect cooking.

$40 seems like a lot for a metal funnel.

I see knockoffs on Amazon for $25 or less and I imagine they work the same 🤷

I need a deal on a good cast iron 22in the grate. It has been stagnant at $70-150 for the longest.

Results are mixed. The biggest concern is the quality of metal used - both in terms of durability and health

You do know there are thousands of different metals and alloys right? If this is made of aluminum is would burn in a few minutes.

Correct, it doesn't have to be a slickdeal to be a good deal. That's why the front page is reserved for the slickest deals
I'm fine with a rare deal being front page as most people wouldn't even be looking for it otherwise... You know... On account of the rarity.

It works fine. I have one in my grill. Just posting another method.

I'm sure it works great, you'd even be able to customize it for your exact needs / grill while saving $20. However I just can't imagine 99% of the SD userbase cutting a stainless steel bowl (thick enough to last longer than a few grilling sessions) with good results and no injuries. And with all the time they had invested in the process they'd probably be better off just paying $37 for this product.

I can't wrap my head around what this actually does?

It contains and focuses the heat of charcoal. Instead of charcoal being spread out on the bottom of, say, the iconic Weber Kettle, the coals are contained and concentrated. Google "vortex wings" and check it out.
