Could it be a coincidence that you have a bad battery? Apparently, the 9Ah batteries were notorious for failing.

Be careful with this. I accidentally left mine powered on and it brought my battery level down so low that the charger now gives an error and won't charge it. I tried "jump starting" the battery to no avail. Basically, my 9.0Ah battery is now toast.

were you using an authentic Milwaukee inverter?
the real one should stop working to prevent the pack go past the safe limit

Military discount works to bring it down to $134.10 before tax. Seems like a good deal either way considering the inverter is $99 and the battery goes for $179 (but yes, you can get better battery deals).

Yes. Purchased from HD. I don't think there's any other reason why the battery pack would have discharged that low. I would have thought it should have a low voltage cutoff, but if so, mine doesn't seem to have worked.

I've heard Milwaukee customer service is spectacular. Call them, I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't send you a new battery.

Does anyone know if this allow you to charge the battery using USB-c like the Ryobi?

They are really good. I believe that battery has a three year warranty, too.

I'm on the Milwaukee system, and can see the usefulness of having a three prong outlet. But the graphic showing that an XC5.0 battery (though this deal is for XC6.0) can charge a modern phone 5.5x, or a laptop 1x, makes this quite a large "power bank" to carry. I have a power bank, like the size of four Galaxy S23 Ultra's thick that can also charge a laptop 1x, less than half the cost. I'm sure it has it's usefulness though.
