Yeah even though this is 14", it is about the same spec but no hdmi and no usi as the woot deal yesterday. That was a steal, this is an ok price if you really need to get a Chromebook at the moment. Just ok I need to reiterate that again.

It was definitely a good deal but an N5100 is not anywhere near a 13th gen i3. Plus this screen is a lot bigger and better than that deal. Lack of an HDMI port does suck though. Especially for a higher level Chromebook plus.

Yeah the lack of the hdmi really kills this for me. It's such a cheap part, how much are they really saving on this?

Be aware that this is 128 GB eMMC (not NVME) storage, for those that care.

This is a real good deal. I run a HP chromebook with i3 and touchscreen. Its been fast and faithful for last 4 years. I use it mostly for everything. If I was in the market for one, this is a real good deal.

Does that matter? I'm not being facetious I really don't know for a Chromebook. Not too much runs off of the actual SSD right?

And as for the lack of HDMI at least there's a USB 3.0 with display port. So it should only take an inexpensive adapter to add HDMI.

The OS still runs off the storage medium, so there will be a speed dfference. eMMC is equivalent to an SD card, whereas an NVME drive will be significantly faster (roughly around 10x). NVME is also more durable long term.

So, for any data transfer intensive tasks (playing a video game, for example), an NVME is highly preferred. If you're just doing light work and media consumption, you're fine to settle for eMMC.

This Display Port will do 4k @ 60hz. So it is better than an HDMI 1.4. A Display Port to HDMI cable is like $6. So this is better than most Chromebooks with HDMI.

But it seems to be expired.

This price seems common for similar specs.
