Good call, low VOC! Kids and wife won't complain either
Posts like this are the reason whenever I buy brake cleaner I always buy 2 cans of high VOC. 1 to clean parts and 1 to spray out the window on the drive home.

Super Tech is good (not the best) and always priced cheap, compared to other name brands.
There are a lot of store brands that are made by the same company that makes the name brand. I have used super tech brake cleaner for over 5 years and it has worked equally good as the other name brands. My point is, CRC is usually priced two times as much compared to super tech. I do not believe its twice as good as the store brand. Sams members mark and costco's kirkland brands are way cheaper but essentially made by the same brands that cost way more. If you want to buy CRC at $6 compared to $3.28 for super tech, that is your prerogative.

FYI: This stuff is basically aerosolized acetone, which has several uses outside of automotive. For instance, priming the substrate when taping seams on a TPO roof (flat roof or RV)

Just because they are bottled by the same company or plant does not mean the formula or recipe is the same.

Chlorinated = very toxic
Non-chlorinated = less toxic but still nasty, very flammable

I've heard chlorinated is a little better at cleaning, if you use it make every effort not to breathe the vapors.

It works if you read his post as a joke (as it was intended).

Somewhere you are missing the whole point of this discussion. Maybe you should do some research before spouting nonsense. The formula may not be the same, but does it do what its supposed to do and at what price? That was the question that I was trying to answer. This comparison should give your little addled brain something to think about.

Does it work and at what price? [youtube.com]

Brakleen in the red can (dry cleaning fluid aka PERC) does the best job on cleaning brakes, but really bad for you to breathe. Also fantastic for removing grease stains from cloth upholstery. And the best wasp/hornet spray ever. The green can Brakleen clean is basically just acetone, so it is good for removal of some types of paint.
