Here are my reasons for purchasing it via Apple.

1.) 4k versions pretty much guaranteed vs who knows right now at VUDU.

2.) Free 4k upgrades from Apple if the movies get upgraded later.

3.) I trust Apple to not mess things up. Movies anywhere only works when given the right information. I have had some issues with VUDU not relaying the right information.

4.) Apple has the best quality so most of my digital is direct from them, even if it is MA.

People are not listing the best reason to buy from iTunes instead of Vudu. iTunes will list these movies separately in your library VS Vudu would bundle all of these together and you would have to click on that bundle each time to see the list of movies.

Is the quality better once downloaded?

I looked at Mr. Smith Goes to Washington (4K) and The More the Merrier (HD) on the Apple webpage and also using the search feature of the AppleTV app, and the picture quality looks terrible. It looks as if they are public-domain copies of the films. Is it any better once bought?

I'd rather have the discs, but for ~$1 a movie, I think it's a deal, but only if the audio and video is at least decent.

I jumped on this deal through iTunes and I have never previously bought a digital movie. I only had a handfull of these on bluray and a lot of them are classics indeed!

Renting temporary access to 100 movies for a hundred bucks is definitely better than what Netflix is offering provided these are something you've never seen before.

A couple of the 4Ks are ones I have on Criterion Blu-ray. Going iTunes will get me the extras of those who have them. I count about a dozen I have in some form so that's a ton of blanks filled with few dupes and a lot I've never seen.

OWN IN SAME QUALITY: 8
OWN IN DIFFERENT (lesser) QUALITY: 10
SEEN, DON'T OWN: 13
NEVER SEEN: 69

Only 8 dupes, 10 upgrades, 13 additions and 70 blind buys, perhaps 20 of which I really want. Good average. SOLD!

Going through some of the list, I didn't notice extras included on any of them (and I looked at major titles that definitely have them on certain purchases elsewhere, such as physical disc). Did you successfully attain any extras from this deal itself?

Have 12 of these including some that could be upgraded. The actual number is a lot higher because I own quite a few of these in Blu-ray and never got around to redeem the code. But that's good because now those digital codes become duplicate which I can trade away.

Someone else posted a list, it was low percentage with iTunes Extras, it was around a dozen.

That's pretty low for me if I sampled the next 100 movies in my list.
