This toothbrush barely vibrates. Don't expect a regular sonicare. It's like a manual brush that buzzes.

This has been my favorite travel toothbrush, i like it a lot more than the Quip. also note this is not the USB-C version. There are 3 versions of this toothbrush, 1 that is AAA powers, 1 that is USB chargeable but has a proprietary cable, and the last is USBC chargeable. I think the premium for the standard USB C port is well worth it, just one less thing to pack, but if most of your trips are under 2 weeks then it probably doesn't matter.

The travel case is "tight" in the sense that you can bend the head's bristles if you put it in incorrectly, but it does fit.

Does this take the same size heads as the ones sold at Costco? Wife doesn't like the newer ones that feel more powerful, but hers is on its last legs.

Looks like it's not the same one. Different numbers: HY1100/54. Walgreens one is HY1200/26. You can get the one with that number on Amazon for $20 if you clip the $5 coupon on the page.

Both my wife and I use the AA version when we travel, been great so far. Recently was traveling for about a month and neither of us had to change the battery during the entire period. I know this post is for the rechargeable version however if you don't like rechargeable know that the AA version lasts a long time on a single (generic) battery.

The lithium battery on the standard non-travel brush lasts a long time. They come with a travel case, and unless you are gone over a week, you don't need to bring a charger.

Thanks, previously I'd only seen the AAA and USB-C versions on Amazon, no idea they made a third version with the figure-8 connector. I'm guessing maybe they got some complaints that a charger wasn't included with the USB-C version, so they made this, even though it seems kinda ridiculous to sell 3 versions of a cheap travel toothbrush.

^^This!

I've been a Sonicare user for a few decades - I bought the rechargeable version of this brush last year for my wife and I.

This travel brush is a joke. Your cellphone has a stronger vibration. Cannot believe it's a Sonicare

Can confirm that the bristles can be bent way too easily if you aren't paying attention to how you put the toothbrush back in the case. Got back from a trip and the lower bristles on mine look like they're sticking out sideways saying hi to me.

Bought a couple of these on sale at Amazon late last year for $12.50 for travel. They are OK. Weak and weird vibration compared to normal sonicare. They are slim and look nice though.

Nope.. and I swear, the only reason they changed heads is corporate greed - to sell more (overpriced) OEM brush heads before new knockoffs come along. I fail to see any other justification why.
