Yes and no. These are square/rectangular shape bags like you would have for pencils or one of those you would just put toiletries in, but that these have the belt for you. Belt is attached to the main body. You may try to use it as fanny around your waist. In my opinion, this looks and feels awkward that way. The main body would still be not that fitting, and will be loose hanging as fanny/waistpack.

Whereas fanny normally has the belt that "melts" into the main body as part of the whole body rather than as an extra belt added. A fanny is also, almost never square/rectangular but more of a pouch whose sides slopes into belt. Thus, a fanny pouch as a whole fits snugly onto your waist while runnning or walking. This bag doesn't have that. There is some portion in this that will be kinda "hanging," or moves loosely, not so snugly. So, if you need it for sports running, go for fanny, not this. However, both types can be used interchangeably as waistpack or crossover while casual walking or traveling.

It says Small, i dont know why, but it's a whopping 40L. Yes, it's worth 24ish. But looks like it's gone. I have these when they were on frequent deals in both sizes few years ago. This 40L is awesome, but strangely enough the main chamber fills quickly with fewer items than I would think given how big it is from outside. This bag does not expand or anything. It is what it is in length. I also bought the 45L one few years ago on impulse. And that one looks so big. But I am happy with these.

Even when they changed the name from fanny pack to whatever the hell they want to call this thing, it's still a fanny pack and people still don't want to buy them. Hence the price reduction. LOL
