What is going to prevent scalpers from botting all these codes and reselling on eBay?

It's PS5 all over again.
That's exactly what's gonna happen.

I'm not seeing anywhere where it limits it to one per table. Any reason not to get 2 if possible?

When i was in Canada 2 weeks ago i was at the embassy suites at the falls in Canada and TGI Fridays had a 50% off a order for 2 in our room.Tgi Fridays is inside the hotel.

Did not really want it but decided to save some money. Went down and did a take out order that should have been around $35 since i bought just 2 meals. When i went to pick it up the total was over $50. I asked why? They said oh because even with take out orders we factor in tips when you use a coupon and also different taxes.

Trust me they plan on making money on this and i doubt they're gone in secs like some think. There is always a catch even not listed.

I will bet they factor in a large tip even if take out order plus the tax and of course the people who use it a few times and then forget about it.
we need a hero to do an applebees order online or with the app and see if theres a tip added for carry out...

I don't know probably limited cards available
Doesn't seem there is a catch. But I'm sure it will be very limited. Why are they doing this:
1. Free advertising on every local news cast that has a story about this.
2. Get the email of every person that creates an account to try and get one.
3. Counting on the few people who do obtain them will not use them to full benefit. There is something like $20B in unused gift cards laying around the US

It says that it will "Discount" up to $30, not that it will "Cover" it. Do we really know if it will cover the entire $30 of if it just gives you some sort of discount?

Darn. If I lived near a good Applebees (like in my home town) I would take this. The one near me now is abysmal.

I'm just enjoying the number of people that think this will be widely available. People talking about time restrictions, lost profits, bankruptcy, selling extras, getting multiples, or getting them at all. Dream on, folks.

After looking into past Olive Garden promotions, I've concluded they will offer at most, a few hundred or a few thousand of these, they'll be gone within 1 second and you'll have about as much chance of getting one as winning the lottery.

If they were going to sell like 500,000 of these, they would just say that. The website promotion intentionally omits the actual amount and uses language like "GET YOUR PASS BEFORE IT SELLS OUT.
IT'S GOING TO GO QUICK!", meaning these will be an EXTREMELY small number. OG sold like 50 of the $500 lifetime passes. Literally 50, for a country of 330 million.

This is 100% about marketing. They will lose $0 on this promotion and will very likely generate quite a bit of business.

2 Bacon Cheeseburgers, 1 App, 2 drinks in NYC is $83 before tax, I imagine it's similar in bigger cities. Why is $70 unbelievable?

Not sure why everyone is getting jazzed up for this... you know they only have 10 of these to sell... I expect the site to crash in -1 second and applebees enjoying all this free marketing press...

I can promise you that no regular joe will ever grab one of these from the site manually. These are going to be eaten up on the backend before the public even has a chance to click add to cart.

Their new intern who thought of this will get a raise for all the traffic it brought to their site the past 2 days.
