AI is officially the new scam. well even bigger now, since theyve been trying to push it for yrs now.

anyways as i wrote elsewhere 2 things stand out to me on these. good, flat display even on the Ultra (why didnt one plus do this on the 12??? Cus you know OP will copy flat next time). Bad, lackluster wired charging speeds, 45w on the plus/ultra and only 25 on the regular. op has them beat easily here.

i wonder if the slow charging is a battery longevity thing. my 8t is 65w and the battery is still holding up well after 2 plus yrs though.

Edit: price is nominally 1419 on the 512GB Ultra? Yikes.

See they are budging towards 512 storage instead of 256 as the default now. Dont personally care but for the price they certainly should. probably 256 more storage cost them about a dollar extra.
go to mouser or digikey and look up 256 flash memory (high speed) you will be blown away by how expensive it is.

Poor trade-in value is smart on Samsung, the early adapters are going to buy no matter what. They'll make extra $$$ off the plebes. Wait a month or two, than have another sale (better trade-in) for the bargain crowd.
Getting diddly Squat for my S22u 512.. I still have my S22u because all year, Samsung had mostly crap deals compared to all the previous years. I usually upgrade a previous generation. This is the first time I had a phone this long. Patiently waiting. June was always good for Samsung deals... we'll see.

well the curved screens got less drastic over the years. just a little at the edges. has anyone tried to put a screen protector on one of these slightly curved ones like s23 ultra? seems like maybe it wouldn't be too bad?
Just installed a glass screen protector on my S23U after my plastic one got old.

No problems with edge. The glass screen protector does have a little trouble with fingerprint. And the one I got has slightly noticeable circle tint for the fingerprint.

But no real complaints.

Edu offers bring it down to 399 after trade in, but can't sign in to make the purchase on website or on the app, either way even if it was working on the app it's stupid to miss out on ca$hback from R*ten.

Samsung is going to have to do better on tradeins... last year sucked and it showed in their numbers. Announced this morning, for the first time Apple outsold Samsung in phones. Great news on their launch day. LOL hope they learn.

Was the ring just an announcement of what's to come this year or is it out yet?

If you finance through a carrier like TMo on Samsung website I assume the device gets locked, right? Or is it unlocked as with buying from Apple?

Jesus god Jim, $400 for a Galaxy note 10+ trade in…. We'll NEVER see that much credit again. This is going to be the year
They were offering $1000 on the note 10+ when the s23 came out. I regretted not doing it, now it's only $400 for the s24

Anyone know what happens if you use a cash back site and utilize Samsung 0% payment plan?

Other than mobile carrier deals, I do NOT remember that much trade in value for that device last year.

I believe S22U - S23U went as low as $250 with EPP last year so yes best to wait.

if you can - wait a couple of months, these phones will drop in value and will be a lot cheaper/have better deals.

Buyers who pick up at the release of a gadget are usually impulse buyers and these big companies know that.

all these YouTubers are also paid heavily to promote the phones, every new phone they review is best they ever held. lol

I honestly was hoping tp upgrade from S23U but not at these crappy trade in values.
