How do you get this to work if you only keep it for 4 months?
Thought it's a 24 Month Bill credit?

"Get reimbursed over 24 months
Receive $27.09 off each bill for 24 months
The credit is tied to the person who activated the device"

Sorry for the ignorance but I'm new to Google Fi deals!

1. Is it a major risk to sell the s24 ultra before the 120 days are over ?

2. Once the promo counter is confirmed that it has started, and the psim is put away in a safe place and not used anywhere, will it be OK to not have access to the s24 ultra?
1. If you sell the S24U before meeting the required 120 days, and the new owner use that phone on Fi with his own SIM, your promotion discount will be disqualifed. It's unlikely that the new owner will use the phone with FI, but it's not impossible to happen.
2. After activation and making a few test calls/texts, you don't need access to the S24. With the Fi S23 phone that I bought last year, I made a few test calls/texts then put it back into the box. The promo discount was still earned 120 days later.

Gray. Black is too common/boring. I don't like Purple/Violet, Yellow/Gold. I'm using a White S22 and had a Green S23, I like those colors but the S24 doesn't come with them.

the self described "gender neutral" colors are awful IMO.. give us manl;y and girly colors.. my wife hated all the colors.

Yeah, I don't care for pastel colors on phones. Make them bold.

Add a data point that does not goes well in the end:

1/17: Activated an old account (last activity was two year ago) with port in number
1/19: Still see 650 off by 24 months credit.
1/20: A bill was generated based on flexible plan. Still only see 650 off by 24 months credit.

Plan to port out by 1/31, no luck to be existing customer.
Let us know if things change before 01/31?

I just ordered an S24U for myself and a family member. Since we had the simply unlimited plan I didn't know about the deal until I saw it on SlickDeals. As soon as we upgraded to Unlimited Plus the $650 instant savings became active.
It's great being a member of SlickDeals!
Yea but then you have to stay on unlimited plus for at least 120 days? I don't think you can go immediately back to simply unlimited:

Remain active and in good standing on the qualifying device for 120 consecutive days. Pausing, changing, or suspending the account will void the promotion.

The exclusion of Simply Unlimited plan from the promo seems to be working well for Google. They're making another $100 or so per line over the 120 days of the promo, and some people will forget to change, or decide to keep the more updated plan.

What about people who downgraded to Flex Plan to qualify? Google would lose money with them.

I don't understand why people call Flex plan a downgrade. Simply Unlimited plan is likely a 'main' line, people will use data on it. Once you start paying 10 bucks a gig, it adds up fairly fast. I have actually moved my personal line to Fi a couple of times before, even with being near wifi almost all the time I was using a bit over a gig of data a month, with a total bill being around 40 dollars. Flex is only (relatively) cheap when the phone associated with it sits in the drawer at home.

Because it's the "cheapest" plan if you don't use the data.

I suppose, but I have a hard time seeing someone going from Simply Unlimited to Flex, using their phone the same way they did before, and saving money at the end of the month.

That's probably the case with 50% of the buyers which just want to buy the phone and already have cell phone service with another provider. They don't use Fi service and just want the cheapest plan possible. It's evident by the posts from people who asked if they can use the Fi phone with the SIM of their existing provider.

While SD is pretty mainstream, I am confident that the percentage of people who jump on this deal and leave is way less than 50.

I have my Fi account activated on my Pixel 7 Pro's eSIM. When the S24 Ultra arrives, the service will automatically transfer to the Ultra's eSIM as well? I'm not at all familiar with eSIM. My first experience. How do I make sure that the eSIM on the S24 is not used? Can I virtually "eject" and "insert" it like a physical SIM? I understand that once my Ultra is activated, I can just stash away a physical SIM and not use it on any other phone. What about eSIM? What's the equivalent of ejecting an eSIM and just stashing it away?
