How do you get this to work if you only keep it for 4 months?
Thought it's a 24 Month Bill credit?

"Get reimbursed over 24 months
Receive $27.09 off each bill for 24 months
The credit is tied to the person who activated the device"

Sorry for the ignorance but I'm new to Google Fi deals!

Not all of those eSIMs can be installed in the S24 at the same time, right? Because it has only one IMEI2 to be used with ONE eSIM.

I believe multiple eSims can be stored, but only one can be active. So its like having multiple ICCIDs tied to one IMEI. You activate Fi eSim, you shut it off via toggle in Sim Manager, and then you add other eSim. If you want to go back to Fi , you toggle the other sim off and the Fi on. Phone will likely reboot in between

Typically, billing starts 2 days after activation so you get two free days. For activation that starts in July or Oct, you can finish the required 120 days in 4 billing cycles with some days to spare. Fi billing cycles start on the same day of the month in subsequent months (example: Oct 4, Nov 4, Dec 4, Jan 4). With Oct, Dec, Jan having 31 days each, you gain a few more days. Example: activation on Oct 2nd, billing starts on Oct 4, and the 121st day is Jan 31. You'll complete the promotion before the 5th billing period starts on Feb 4.

Exception: if you activate during the last 3 calendar days of each month, billing will start about 3-5 days later.

So these phones are going to arrive probably Feb 10 give or take, ironically the shortest month but 2024 is a leap year. So 120 days in mid June. Fi will see lots of cancellations then, lol.

But Junky meant that you have to be paying for service now, before the phone arrives to be an active customer. I assumed you have to maintain 120 days from the day you activate the s24

WTF needs 1TB on a phone? 512gb is plenty (unless it was the old Gear VR compatible phones and you were storing lots of VR porn but those had microsd slots anyhow, not that I know first hand) I priced out comparing apples to apples for Plus and not having to give up my phone that I can easily sell for a few hundred and got a significantly cheaper price on Fi. Of course there is the cost of the 120 days service but I have usleess credits for most of that .

Oh , and you can easily net $400 for a Note 20 Ultra in fair condition on Swappa so your price is $600 + $400 = $1000
Dude, I was just starting that the specs weren't the same. Surely you don't go to cpu posts and argue that no one needs 12 cores and that 2 is plenty. And sure 512 might be plenty, but as you said, phones don't come with microSD card slot anymore, which is fixing stupid BTW, so more storage is actually something useful especially if you take photos or videos which, I don't know if you've noticed but, this phone has at least 3 cameras. "But I digress, 1 is plenty"

Are we allowed to have two esims active at the same time ? I.e. the Google Fi and visible ?

I'd like to use my visible plus esim account for data, voice and text. Maybe I should just sock drawer the Google Fi psim like I did for the s23 ultra deal last year.

is there any value to keeping the Google Fi as a backup sim if visible service is poor in a given area etc ?

I actually think the former is a good strategy. I think Visible which is based on Verizon and Fi which is based on T-Mobile will defintely give you different service in different areas. However, you can only have one eSim active at a time. If you wanted to keep Fi for backup you would have to toggle in sim manager all the time and Samsung will force you to reboot when you change Sims - there is a workaround to disable the forced reboot (disabling a process called cidmanager using ADB) , so the easier solution if you want to have both sims active is to have one of them on physical sim

I am probably going into too much detail but the problem with dual sim in the US is that carriers have used their influence to have Samsung cripple functionality. The key missing feature is that you can't set default sim for text and data, there is a workaround to set default sim for calls using Google Dialer. There used to be a workaround for sms and data however it was plugged in Android 14. There is still a workaround but it involves changing CSC and using samfw tool which some think is riskware

Ok, if you want 1TB great however this year Google Fi's trade in values suck and Samsung's is better. However, I still think when you do the math, Google Fi is the better pricing , comparing apples for apples, even if you sold your old phone to BuyBackBoss for dirt cheap, if you did not want the hassle of selling it privately

I signed up two days ago and it still shows only installment discount not straight $650 off. How long does it take to show the offer?

Comparing apples to apples, which one do you consider a better value? iPhone SE or iPhone 15?

Yeah, I believe many eSIM can be installed but only one active. The SIM manager was introduced for this very management. However, if one plans to use both FI and another carrier having a pSIM+eSIM is better as they both can be active at the same time.

Wow that's big brain. I just placed an order with the 24 month rebate option, canceled it immediately, and now no promotion shows. Hopefully the instant rebate will show up soon - if not I guess I'll wait for a future promotion lol.
Did the same. Now the 24 mon promo is gone. Finger crossed.

After you activated the phone, there's a countdown showing how many more days you need to stay active on Fi. Once the required number of days has been met, it changed to "STAYED" (past tense) and the promo gets moved to the "Earned" column. At that point, your promo discount has been satisfied and you can cancel Fi service if you wish.

After a few days, I'll add all that info to the Wiki of this deal.
Thanks for the detail. Do you know if the SIM (eSIM) has to be active for 120 days or just the billing is enough? Samsung only allows 1 active esim at a time which I might need while traveling (unlike pixel which allows 2 active esims)

I have an estimated shipping date of March 12. Since some of you did this with the s23 ultra last year, is this stimated shipping true or has it been sooner?

I switched to the ultimate unlimited plan from the simply unlimited one to get the deal. Am I able to switch to the flex plan next month and still keep the promo?
