I do not recommend Spectrum Mobile. They are an MVNO on Verizon towers and when the network is congested, you have little to no connection because your priority is so low. There is also no upgrade option for a prioritized connection. I dropped them after 1 month.

Trade in my Google Pixel 6A for $757 that I originally got from metro for $50 years ago. Makes this a true slickdeal 🫡

Anyone know if they accept Galaxy S8 as a trade in?
Yes, I tried and they offered $5 + $700 promo = $705 total trade in credit.

So the person in store valued your trade in phone, but they didn't take it there and you still have to mail it yourself? I thought if you do this in store, they deduct the trade-in credit right then and there.
They need to have Phone in stock for instant credit. Right now, phone is not available at brick and mortar.

I went yesterday in store (CA) and placed my preorder. The rep said since its a pre order i have to mail the phone to assurant and they will value it, basically the same routine if you do online preorder ...i "paid' in full $1,400 instead of payments...the interesting part was online for my trade in offer showed $745 but in store the rep inspected it and it was valued at $764, i got an email confirmation on it which i guess was a small perk of going in store in my situation.

After they credit back the trade in amount to my account i will chat with spectrum to refund back to credit card. Do NOT call for this, the phone reps will tell you it cannot be done but i confirmed with chat that chat reps can dot it. If anyone is interested.
Did the rep say you'll get refunded on the difference in tax charges through chat? Because you pay more in taxes on the full price of the phone vs the discounted price after trade-in credit. I read some posts that say they will refund tax but other posts that say they won't so it's unclear to me...

Same as my iPhone 6 plus. I think $5 is the minimum amount they offer.

I traded in my iPhone 6s with bent condition and got $701 for the trade in value. Hopefully they won't reject it.

Sell it for $100 buy something on eBay far superior for around $200 like a flip 3 5G 128gb .. lol idk really but the flips in fair condition seem to be the sweet spot for trade in's bc nobody wants a refurbed flip yet its an expensive top tier phone.

Got the free education discount on incognito mode and a new fresh account without needing a .edu email, but i notice if you don't do it right after and leave it after a hour or two a message error about the discount change because your account don't qualify.

Are you in the right deal? I didn't know spectrum offers an education discount?

Sigh, Samsung Galaxy S7 is not on the trade in list even though older phones are...
Lol. Last year, they accepted my Galaxy S4 for $605 as a trade in. The $600 was the minimum trade in from last year S23 deal compares to this year $700 deal.

I would caution you on this as Assurant might reject your trade in. I'd rather do the trade in In-Store when that's available to be sure they'll accept your cracked phone as a trade-in.

Really? I tried S9 yet it says not eligible. That's very strange as it is in their drop down menu.
My S9 has dual sim, I bought it in Asia
