Will there be problems if i enter in a different imei than what is being traded in? I havent gotten the $40 trade in phone yet from walmart but want to place the order

Assurant doesn't care about the carrier, sim locks or color. But the IMEI, brand, model & storage capacity must match.

Not exactly true. IMEI doesn't matter either. I've traded in multiple phones with random IMEIs with no issue.

You need active service to unlock the phones after 60 days, if you want phones unlocked.
