I do not recommend Spectrum Mobile. They are an MVNO on Verizon towers and when the network is congested, you have little to no connection because your priority is so low. There is also no upgrade option for a prioritized connection. I dropped them after 1 month.
I test with the following tiv samsung phones:

A14 $714
A54 $770
S23fe $880
S23+ $994
Trade in my Google Pixel 6A for $757 that I originally got from metro for $50 years ago. Makes this a true slickdeal 🫡

This sounds like the screen is defective/damaged and they might reject it. I would recommend trading in a different phone or doing the trade in at the store
I think as long as turns on, they will give you $700. I test by saying no to everything but powers on and it gave me $700. Instead of asking questions, you guys ought to just test it yourself by putting in your info. That is the easiest way to see if your phone is getting a trade in amount and whether your model is going to be accepted. I tested a bunch and the lowest iphone is the iphone 6. Samsung seems like the A01. For the S line, the S8, I believe.

I did the Pixel 8 Pro. It will take a while. Wait at least 2 weeks, maybe 3. Also, you may get an email saying the trade in was accepted before the site changes. I also got the email and it never changed and never got credit. Had to contact Spectrum and they then gave the credit instantly. Watch for an email.

Man, someone tell me I won't be screwing myself doing this. I have a galaxy s22 in Verizon they are offering like 850 trade in for a s24+. If in port my phone number over am I screwing myself out of my current Verizon plan? Would I just get the cheapest spectrum plan for 2 months until it's unlocked then switch back over to my Verizon?
Why don't you just buy the $40 Walmart phone, trade that one in, get a new number on the Spectrum s24, but keep using your S22 on Verizon until the Spectrum line is past 60 days.. then cancel Spectrum and unlock the s24. Then move your Verizon to the S24. Then you are free to sell your S22 if you wish for even more $$.

This has several advantages:
- You get to keep using your current service with no risk of losing any grandfathered deal.
- If for some reason you get a lemon, or don't like the s24, you can go back to your old device easy.
- Between the $700+ credit by trading a cheapo Walmart phone and selling your old device, you can possibly net a nice profit.
- Since you'd be keeping your old device for at least a couple months or so, there is no rush to send in to Assurant and you can take your time setting up your s24.

I'm surprised so many are willing to port their numbers around for this game, I would avoid that at all costs. (unless you truly want to switch to Spectrum)

It looks like some of the trade in values have changed.
S23 from $927 to $935
S23FE from $880 to $900
My old iPhone 6 plus is still just $705

So if ordering the "by the Gig" plan now at $14.99, will that price stay fixed or will you have to pay the new higher price after Jan 30??

Thanks OP and others who contributed to the thread. I pulled the trigger on S24+ trading in an old Samsung Galaxy phone lying around for a few years. I was originally planning to order with the "New Number" option, but decided to play safe by porting in a number bought from NumberBarn since the T&C clearly states porting in is required. I currently use an S22 256GB, and figured I could just sell it on Swappa. As others said, it makes sense to trade in a phone with a lower value for this deal.
Port in is required?

The pricing is obvious on their site
Not asking for the price, I want to know if spectrum will offer the 256GB model after this free storage upgrade promo.

Not at all, just someone reading the BS terms that haven't applied to the last dozen spectrum deals.

yes I dont understand either. People should know that they want the phone OR the plan in the first place. If just for the phone, get a cheap phone to trade in and new number.

Thanks. There was no chatter about port-in in this thread and was curious.

Is this instant discount on trade in or account credit after purchase?

Right, there were no chatter about port-in, and I haven't been following the previous Spectrum trade-in deals so I didn't know the T&C port-in requirement was not enforced. I just wanted to play safe by following the T&C to the letter.

Exactly what I'm doing with my wife's S23.
