Does the Spectrum verison cover T-mobile band?

I'm thinking of buying the phone paying 2 months of service then unlock, and cancel.

I think that what unlocked means?

the previous s23 promo, I was able to pop in physical sim from other carriers with no issues after unlocked.
Are these phones are factory unlocked or do we need to request spectrum to unlock? how long we need to maintain the service to unlock ?

Spectrum phones are always locked but during last year S23 deal, they were unlocking the phone paid in full. I unlocked two S23 last time on the same day I made the purchase but they have strictly inforced their 61 days active account policy since then.

anyone had problem with unlocking from spectrum? i have done several with spectrum. The flip 5 is the only one, that they can't unlock. the "unlock" screen won't pop up for me to enter the "unlock" key. spectrum says it is samsung problem, samsung says it is spectrum problem. So i am a bit nervous on getting another samsung from spectrum. though i had no problem with S23 unlocked

Yeah I had that happen to me but they eventually got it fixed and unlocked my fold 5.

In the same boat with a couple of fold 5 phones...super annoying

Be aware!! I've purchased 5 phones from Spectrum including Galaxy Z fold 5, S 23, and S 23 Ultra when they were on sale.
I've unlocked 3 phones after 60 days' passed. However, my Z fold 5 and S23 Ultra are still locked to Spectrum. It's been over 4 months and tried to unlock them when 60days' reached. Spectrum's already provided the unlock code and the unfreeze code. But I never get to input those numbers since the phone's kept on showing it is carrier locked. I've spent well over 30 hours of talking time over the phone, visited the corporate office and gone thru more than 20 spectrums reps from tier 3,4 and 5 level. None of them knows how to unlock. One thing I know now is that when you try to unlock the phone, the spectrum rep who's unlocking the phone should see the phone you are trying to unlock should be visible on their end. If you just swap your sim and even if you see the phone on your spectrum online account, The spectrum side might show your previous phone and it can cause the problem. Make sure you have the spectrum sim for a while on the phone you are trying to unlock. Maybe at least couple more days.
I've had a spectrum sim in my Z Fold 5 for over a month now, but it is still showing Pixel 8 Pro which I have already unlocked. Their system is so buggy then you might not be able to unlock your phone. This only happens with Samsung phones since it requires additional unlock code input step unlike other Pixel, Apple brand phones.

Man, I have the same problem with flip 5. Based on previous post, seems it depends on who CS u happen to talk to. Most of them are not knowledgeable enough to solve the problem. This makes me nervous to pull the trigger on this

So what is the solution to the problem above? To ensure the phone gets unlocked after 60 days?

I have Spectrum Mobile and a free phone line.

I would like to trade in my current phone, buy an S24 or S24+, and use it on my current line.

Hardware-wise, l believe ALL Galaxy S24 series phones sold in the US are essentially the same (just as previous versions), and they are compatible with pretty much all bands used by US carriers.

2) Can My friend ship the trade in phone to spectrum?
2) Can i cancel new line after unlocked?

Hope they have enough to fill the orders already placed. I got the original email acknowledging the order and that's it.

Apologies for the silly question, but can I join Spectrum now and get this deal, or do I have to have been a customer before the deal was announced?
