I do not recommend Spectrum Mobile. They are an MVNO on Verizon towers and when the network is congested, you have little to no connection because your priority is so low. There is also no upgrade option for a prioritized connection. I dropped them after 1 month.
I test with the following tiv samsung phones:

A14 $714
A54 $770
S23fe $880
S23+ $994
Trade in my Google Pixel 6A for $757 that I originally got from metro for $50 years ago. Makes this a true slickdeal 🫡

Damn it. My device got rejected due to "anti-theft". It was locked to Xfinity Mobile. Wondering if that was the case. Anyone has similar issues?
I have traded in a locked device with Google Fi and not had a problem. Maybe try their deals when available....Assurant is also their trade in partner. Google confirmed that locked phones were no problem

Does anyone know if the trade-in gets rejected, Can we send another trade-in?
I don't think so, best option is to not open the new phone and return within 14 days. Reorder with a new trade in, but you will get back your old trade in phone with some charge of like 50$. Not sure the exact amount.
Explore the option with Spectrum. Good Luck !!

Is this deal only limited to 1 phone per account or 1 phone per line? I have gone thru most of the threads and haven't seen anyone done it.
Thanks for the answers in advance.

IMEI is cleaned.
Do you mean it was just network locked or there was an anti theft app/account? Because lot of us sending locked phones to them that were bought from Walmart.

Is this available at store today? Has anyone checked ?
Just got back from an in-store deal.

Traded in an iPhone SE 16GB for an S24.

and

an Samsung S22 Ultra for an S24+.

I only paid tax on the difference (ie: 999 (S24+) - 925 (S22 U) = $75, so taxed on that amount).

Total was ~$250 after taxes, activation fees, first month service.

After hemming and hawing about it over the past 48 hours I decided to go in last night and order, but they were OOS, so I missed the free storage bump.

Now, I'll drawer them for 60 days and sell after. Obviously, the iPhone SE was worthless, but the S22 Ultra was pretty banged up and I didn't want to deal with a return.

Neither phone was network locked, so I can't answer that for in-store trade-ins. I actually have an iP11 I might trade in that IS network locked... but that's a tomorrow problem.

I did get an email while at the store indicating my trades were accepted, so if you're on the fence about it, using an in-store CSR might be the way to go. My store was OOS on the S24 Yellow, but had all the other colors. S24+ they had all colors. I got the base storage, and didn't ask about the size up on either.

Use common sense. This promotion is trying to steal customers from another providers. Let's say you're using at&t. Your current phone is most likely locked to at&t. You think Spectrum is easier to take your current locked phone or make you go buy an unlocked phone to trade-in?
If they were trying to steal att or tmobile customers that they would have allowed trade-in bonus only for number port-ins. Here they are giving it for new numbers as well. So your logic doesn't hold. Samsung must be heavily subsidizing it, they just lost #1 mobile seller position.

I can confirm that in-store trade-in for locked phone is working for this deal. Just did that. The customer reps on spectrum mobile chat were wrong.

IDK, if Samsung was really concerned about sales, they would still be offering hot trade-in deals on their site. Last year's Samsung trade-ins were so bad, I bought an S23 Ultra through Google Fi and started using that hoping Samsung would eventually offer a decent trade-in on my S22U (that I traded above) to make it happen (or the great trade-in phone & tablet deals).

I think Samsung shot themselves in the foot having a third-party group review their site and kill the deals from previous years.

LOL, I was about to ask what's up with that? Big Grin

No, doing the deal in-store did not qualify for the storage bump.

In fact, I would doubt they have a good stock of upgraded storage devices in-store.

I already did 3 trade ins but I got a text saying that the offer is in stores now. Wanted to check the value of my s23 ultra and they aren't taking it if it's in mint condition. It needs to have some kind of damage. Oh well 🤷🏾

Trade in got approved today. How long does it usually take for the credit to hit the account? Email says up to 2 billing cycles but I really hope not
