If you do the trade in at the store do they give you the credit right away or do they have to mail off the phone? I am thinking about cancelling my online order if it doesn't ship in the next day or two (can't get to a store until Friday night anyways) and then pay for the phone I want in store... Even if I have to pay extra for the ram upgrade.

7 days since I ordered and no update. Told by their customer service it should ship today. Though I doubt it ships out this late in the day...
Instant credit, if they have it in stock. I went to 3 stores and there's none. It's like the same story with the Pixel 8 pro deal. They don't want to give us instant credit or something. But, when the trade in deal is over they magically have it in stock. Lol

They told me they're waiting for the pre-orders to go through first and told me to come back in 1-2 weeks
1-2 weeks and the deal might be gone for the $700 plus trade . They're known to end the deal early. Plus, each week your trade in value goes down. That's scummy!

Hello, is the IMEI number relevant for trade-in? I put an IMEI I found online for the same model that I will send, will it be rejected?

It would need to match as that's what they use to identify the phone, and status of it.

Thanks for your quick response, what should I do? Can I return my s24 and get full refund? Can I keep it and update the IMEI?

Just bought an s24+ in store and traded in the moto g play from walmart. The rep didn't care that it was brand new in the box, she seemed to appreciate it haha. Overall process was quick. She even gave me a $10/month unlimited data plan for 12 months and said I can cancel whenever. The only downside was I had to pay tax on the full $999.99 amount Frown

Went in store and the guy screwed up and put me on a monthly plan. You can't see their screen, so didn't know what he was doing. Only noticed when I got the email saying how much was being charged. I told him I wanted to pay off all at once. They said that I can wait 24 and then pay it off. I noticed that the trade in credit was being applied over the 36 months. If you pay off, do they take the credit into account and you just have to pay the difference, or they try to continue the credit over the 36 months?
Yep they did the same to me on last year's s23 deal. The reps at the stores are idiots. As someone else said, pay off in full and call them for credit once you trade-in

Shot in the dark... I'm the guy who had a yellow S24U 512gb pre-ordered for me (wanted black) and will be receiving a violet device in the next couple days via exchange (barring the extra charges they emailed me end up going away). If anyone out there really wants a violet phone (looks more like a very dark blue/purple) I will happily trade for a black or gray S24U 512gb. DM me if you're in a similar boat. Otherwise I'll be activating a violet device upon receipt and I'll have it well cased-up to help me forget I still didn't get the color I wanted (and originally ordered).
