I do not recommend Spectrum Mobile. They are an MVNO on Verizon towers and when the network is congested, you have little to no connection because your priority is so low. There is also no upgrade option for a prioritized connection. I dropped them after 1 month.
I test with the following tiv samsung phones:

A14 $714
A54 $770
S23fe $880
S23+ $994
Trade in my Google Pixel 6A for $757 that I originally got from metro for $50 years ago. Makes this a true slickdeal 🫡

Hello, is the IMEI number relevant for trade-in? I put an IMEI I found online for the same model that I will send, will it be rejected?
I have done a few trade ins with Spectrum and used random IMEI numbers and never had an issue.

Any way to tell if the local store has stock? Thinking I'll cancel my non shipped online order pay the little extra to get the instant credit on trade in.
You don't get the free memory upgrade if you go in stores. Keep the online order imo.

Both my shipment has been stuck in transit since 1/26 after it arrived at the TX distribution center and supposedly delivered on 1/29, but no movement since. I've called usps and create an incident ticket. They said the investigation will take up to 3 business days. Will have to wait til Friday to see if there is any update, if not I'm going to call spectrum to see what options are available.

I've called them multiple times and they can't explain why my 7 day old order hasn't shipped. Basically I'll end up giving them until Saturday to ship. If at that point they haven't I'll eat the extra $ and be happy im getting an instant trade in instead of the free storage increase.

Last time they unlocked the phone immediately or next day if phone was paid in full. So, what most people did was, buy the phone with trade in, unlock the phone, then upgrade the line with another phone. Now, your line need to be active for 61 days to unlock the phone. So, technically you can upgrade the same line but it could affect the unlocking process .
So the method people used to get several phones with just one or two lines last time (last year?) doesn't work anymore this time? Seems there still isn't a clear consensus on this yet.

Just got back from an in-store deal.

Traded in an iPhone SE 16GB for an S24.

and

an Samsung S22 Ultra for an S24+.

I only paid tax on the difference (ie: 999 (S24+) - 925 (S22 U) = $75, so taxed on that amount).

Total was ~$250 after taxes, activation fees, first month service.

After hemming and hawing about it over the past 48 hours I decided to go in last night and order, but they were OOS, so I missed the free storage bump.

Now, I'll drawer them for 60 days and sell after. Obviously, the iPhone SE was worthless, but the S22 Ultra was pretty banged up and I didn't want to deal with a return.

Neither phone was network locked, so I can't answer that for in-store trade-ins. I actually have an iP11 I might trade in that IS network locked... but that's a tomorrow problem.

I did get an email while at the store indicating my trades were accepted, so if you're on the fence about it, using an in-store CSR might be the way to go. My store was OOS on the S24 Yellow, but had all the other colors. S24+ they had all colors. I got the base storage, and didn't ask about the size up on either.
Available in store already? Nice, i will be there today!

You can still get multiple phones on the same line but we are not sure if we will be able to unlock the phones which were replaced by the last phone purchase. The phone needs to be activated for 61 days to be eligible for the unlock. Once, you upgrade the line with the new phone, your prior phone won't remain activated.

What color did you order? I ordered grey ultra on the 25th and no progress. They sent me a reminder to send my trade in. I called customer service and they cant figure out why my phone hasn't shipped…

If you have not received your docusign pdf to sign which is what clears the security hold on the account and moves it to processing (for already spectrum mobile customer having old mobile account) it will not generate a shipping label. I ordered through retention on 28th , no movement till 30th until the area manager resend me the .pdf to sign and immediately with 2 hrs the order changed to shipping and was shipped fedex overnight by 4pm same day . Received phone on 31st by 1pm cst. Check with customer service to resend your purchase agreement .

It sounds like it doesn't hurt to try. If it turns out that the prior phone doesn't remain activated, maybe you can add it back onto the $20 data plan at that time and get it unlocked later. I wonder if it'll work with the physical sim cards. Since the physical sim is tied to the line, can't you just insert that sim card into each phone you have on that line once per day so it shows that those phones were all active on that line every day?

I preordered two devices on 1/24 & shipped out my trade-ins same-day. However, my two trade-in devices seem to be stalled somewhere in Coppell, TX. I did manage to preorder a third time on 1/29 & again shipped out my trade-in device same-day, ohhh but this trade-in has stellar tracking info & is actually scheduled to be delivered at Assurant today lol (1/31). Is it possible that my first two trade-ins are just piled together with the other packages addressed to Assurant? After all, my first two trade-in packages did arrive at that USPS regional facility on a Saturday. Anybody else experiencing this?

Some stores n I went to 3 last night and none have it in stock. Shouldn't they have it in stock already since release date was on the 30th?

Depends how many phones they got from Samsung. It took me 2 weeks to get my pixel 8 pro in store last time. theres no way to check store stock. you just have to go there every few days.
