I do not recommend Spectrum Mobile. They are an MVNO on Verizon towers and when the network is congested, you have little to no connection because your priority is so low. There is also no upgrade option for a prioritized connection. I dropped them after 1 month.
I test with the following tiv samsung phones:

A14 $714
A54 $770
S23fe $880
S23+ $994
Trade in my Google Pixel 6A for $757 that I originally got from metro for $50 years ago. Makes this a true slickdeal 🫡

Just bought an s24+ in store and traded in the moto g play from walmart. The rep didn't care that it was brand new in the box, she seemed to appreciate it haha. Overall process was quick. She even gave me a $10/month unlimited data plan for 12 months and said I can cancel whenever. The only downside was I had to pay tax on the full $999.99 amount Frown

Damn it. My device got rejected due to "anti-theft". It was locked to Xfinity Mobile. Wondering if that was the case. Anyone has similar issues?
Did you ever get this sorted out?

Just initiated inquiry thru usps 800 number. Phone has been stuck in Dallas for 6+ days. They said to call back Wednesday to escalate, if problem is not fixed by then.
Spectrum only has 14 day return policy for phones. I wonder if I should contact Spectrum and return the phone if Assurant has not received the trade in by then. Cannot have Assurant just letting these packages sit with USPS without scanning them as being received since there are timelines in play.

I could be wrong, but I do not think devices have to be network unlocked for trade in (just paid off and not reported as stolen). Maybe they forgot to factory reset the device before sending in and they could not access the device. Per Spectrum website:
"To qualify for our trade-in program, your device must meet the following requirements:
It's paid in full
It's able to turn on
It has no liquid damage
It has been restored to factory settings"

So I got one for a gift for someone. If I activate it online via the spectrum portal.. do I need to still open the box and activate it on the phone itself, or will it be enough for my to just activate it on the portal? I don't want to break the seal if I can.

Just don't activate it. Let whoever got the phone activate later.

Both my shipment has been stuck in transit since 1/26 after it arrived at the TX distribution center and supposedly delivered on 1/29, but no movement since. I've called usps and create an incident ticket. They said the investigation will take up to 3 business days. Will have to wait til Friday to see if there is any update, if not I'm going to call spectrum to see what options are available.
same for me, mine is stuck at TX for 3 days now....very annoying...
let me know what/when you find out please, i will do the same.
