USPS still not marking my package as delivered to Assurant despite sitting a the destination for days. Probably going to contact Spectrum and just return the phone and cancel the phone plan and have them return the trade in. So annoying that they only give 14 day return window for the S24s and are having delays and giving people trouble with trade ins. Not sure what else to do but this is extremely upsetting experience
I think your choice will make the situation being more complicated.

My second trade-in arrived before my first one. First one has been stuck in Coppell for 5 days.
Based on the tracking info, this is my guessing.
All these trade in phones are picked up by Assurant instead of USPS delivery. Assurant may only send their driver to 951 W BETHEL RD
COPPELL TX 75099-8888, the local post office, a few times a day.
If your phone just arrives right before Assurant driver arriving time, it will show an instant delivery because they are put outside, also the easiest place for pickup. For my situation, it shows ready for pickup at 8:04 am and shows delivered at 8:46. If it arrives at a different time, your phone would be placed at a deeper place of the warehouse. That causes the delay.

People are reporting that their valid trade ins are getting rejected and my device has been sitting in the same USPS facility not moving for nearly a week. I am obviously concerned and do not want to get stuck with this device at full cost. I can do a charge back with my credit card I suppose but it might just be easier to return and be done with this nonsense.

Just got a confirmation email that my first two trade-ins got inspected & my status for both orders changed to "Offer Confirmed". However, per the dogshit USPS tracking, both packages are still "Moving Through Network" since 1/31 & not yet delivered lol. My advice to yall is to periodically check the link in the initial email (the one where we accessed the prepaid shipping label) titled "We're ready to receive your device below for Trade-In". It seems to be more accurate & timely than following the USPS tracking.

As for my third trade-in, the Assurant site confirmed that my device was received today (2/2) & will be inspected by 2/6. However, per USPS tracking, my package is now "Available for Pickup" at a facility as of today. USPS smokin dick right now, but idgaf so long as my shit gets inspected & approved before the 14-day return window expires.

Thank you for this information. Seems consistent with what some others have said that Assurant and USPS seem to be in some cahoots where they are not even properly scanning packages or marking them as delivered. The Inspector General should probably be alerted to this nonsense. I agree with you about the 14 day thing, that is what is making me nervous since it is approaching for me.

My order went confirmed and credit card charged the day it shipped. If your credit card was charged then it probably means your order is going out today.

Thanks for telling us this. I check but unfortunately mine still shows as 'trade in is on its way to our warehouse'....fingers crossed for the best.

- Selected S24+ 256GB model for 999.99$
- Traded in Xiomi A1 old international phone* .. valuated to 7$
- $999.99 + 75$ (local sales tax) - $700 (Trade in Discount) -$7 +$20 (new line activation fee) = $387.99 is the total price charged to credit card.

Points noted:
*yes, it seems any brand phone is acceptable at stores. Since he couldn't select this company, he randomly chose some cheaper Samsung phone model name but entered this Xiaomi IMEI number.\
He collected trade-in the phone then there itself. When I asked a question if the brand mismatch would violate trade-in, he said not to worry as my $700 has already been redeemed.

He said locked (to any carrier) phone is not a problem.
Also it seems mostly, Stores will get only the base storage pieces ( S24-128GB S24+ - 256 GB etc.) in stock due to high online demand for higher memory pieces.

Hope this information is helpful.
Does the store person look for any identity? Do you need to show him an ID card. My home network is not Spectrum but my friend's is. Can i add myself to his account and goto a Store and buy this phone with a trade in? Hence the Q on identity check.

Finally got one of my trade in credits.
As expected, they just skipped the whole process from delivered to assessment.
My tracking still shows delayed, arriving late. laugh out loud

I expect the other one to be accepted either tomorrow or Monday. That one also says delayed.
