I do not recommend Spectrum Mobile. They are an MVNO on Verizon towers and when the network is congested, you have little to no connection because your priority is so low. There is also no upgrade option for a prioritized connection. I dropped them after 1 month.
I test with the following tiv samsung phones:

A14 $714
A54 $770
S23fe $880
S23+ $994
Trade in my Google Pixel 6A for $757 that I originally got from metro for $50 years ago. Makes this a true slickdeal 🫡

No bought it in store on release day. They had all the colors, gave up extra storage but worth it for less headache on trade.
In store purchase equals in store returns. Unfortunately online purchase requires shipping the phone's back to return.

Is there anyone on this chat who's trade in has been approved when pre ordered online. If yes, then please share the timeline.

I called spectrum today and they said it can take upto 30 days for assurant to grade the trade in phone and we have to wait. I'm a bit concerned about this as return window is just 14 days from when I received the phone and if we return then have to ship the phone which is more riskier.

Please guide what best we can do in this situation as last time Assurant was quick to grade the phone, but this time something is wrong.

I am returning both s24 and s24 ultra. Price is one thing and the reviews is another especially for s24 ultra. The market is flooded with resales too and dropping quickly. Besides that i cannot use until 60 days to get it unlocked on my primary. Goodluck you all..
Even if you trade in those phones in bestbuy you will get better price. Calculate everything before you return. In Bestbuy you get $600 at least for ultra. Consider the 1 month payment +restocking fee. Just a suggestion only

Same situation. What is concerning is that it is not like we have a stream of people reporting their devices are being processed, even people who have been waiting weeks are saying their devices are still unprocessed, in fact not even been marked as delivered. This is not a delay this is a fiasco and they are just expecting us to sit here without our credit as the return period lapses. I am basically at the last day myself to make the decision about initiating a return.

Also they never said it would take 30 days to process trade ins, Assurant says in their e-mail that we only have 30 days to get them the trade in. Their side says they should process the trade in typically within 1-2 business days. So they are just straight up lying.

I just went to my local Walmart to do a.com return on two of the Moto g play phones. They would only do a return and re-ring on the one that I had physically there. I had already sent one of the phones in for the trade-in before catching the non-activation issue. After the return and rering, the phone went into the activation page with no issues. My Walmart would not budge on doing the return with just the box because of a liability issue of not having the phone present. No, I'm trying to figure out what to do to get the phone activated that is being currently shipped to Assurant.

I mean Spectrum is doing this to attract people into trying their mobile service, which would also means they'll get internet from the company.

They didn't do this sale so you can get a S24 for $100.

Mine hasn't been approved. I sent it in on 1/20. It showed "delivered" on 2/1. So far, no updates. After I sent out the package, I only got one email from spectrum:

"Thanks for shipping your device for your Trade-In. As soon as we receive it, we'll send you an email. As a reminder, since your device has shipped, you can no longer cancel your trade-in."

Thanks for the update, I would definitely get a supervisor on site since other were able to do that (you can probably prove with pictures if you have). Your next best thing is to contact Straight Talk and get a ticket # and email them your proof of purchase. Hopefully they can clear the phone before Assurant assess it. Else prepare to return phone. All the best.

Could you try putting the device they were able to re-ring into the box of the one you're trying to re-ring and repackage it a bit? Might need to go to different Wal-Mart but they shouldn't need to open it or anything. Just do whatever you need to do to make it look like the one you already had them re-ring.

Am I missing something?

FWIW I also did a re-ring and all was well. Device mailed out today.
