I do not recommend Spectrum Mobile. They are an MVNO on Verizon towers and when the network is congested, you have little to no connection because your priority is so low. There is also no upgrade option for a prioritized connection. I dropped them after 1 month.
I test with the following tiv samsung phones:

A14 $714
A54 $770
S23fe $880
S23+ $994
Trade in my Google Pixel 6A for $757 that I originally got from metro for $50 years ago. Makes this a true slickdeal 🫡

I didn't know how accurate this information is but I was asking for my refund a few minutes ago and decided to ask for sim unlock. I do use the sim primarily in my OnePlus where it currently is now. I'll definitely put the SIM back into my S24 at the 60 day point when I request the unlock again. I'm at $77 total right now after sending them a 10 year old iPhone 6 plus.

There is offer for Moto razr flip. It is coming free for any phone you are trading. And again when you re-trade-in it gives $1050 worth. You can use that to buy s24+ for free

How do you get $1050 worth for the Moto razr flip? It's not even on the Trade In list. Maybe you meant the Moto Razr Plus 5G but the TIV is only $950.
I'm only seeing $950 trade in value ($250+$700 promo) towards the S24+. Maybe Assurant already dropped the trade in value due to people trying to exploit it if you saw $1050 earlier. The S24+ is $999 so $950 trade in would make it effectively $49. The main question is going to be how much the trade in value for the S24 is going to be. Right now the S24 is effectively $99 ($799-$700 promo) and the razr is free ($799-$799 promo).

Honestly you would probably make more selling the device on e-bay and doing the trade in with a $40 phone if Assurant is only going to give $250-300 trade in value.

When I unlocked 5 pixel pro's a month ago I had no issues at all even though I had removed the SIM cards and used them in other phones the majority of the time. I never tried unlocking them early while the SIM was in a different phone like I did today. I'm pretty sure at 60 days it will unlock just fine IF I haven't already traded it in before then.

Thanks for posting, that is good information. That does confirm that the device has to be active on the line for 60 days. So people going in and getting multiple devices on the same line to do the deal multiple times are not going to be able to unlock all of the devices at the end of the 60 days.

My post confirms nothing unless you trust these chat reps and I don't. We will find out in 6-7 weeks who was right and who was wrong.

What SIM card are you using with the S24? The S24 uses eSIM. I was told by customer service if I wanted to go back to a physical SIM they would have to send me a new one. Did you just continue using your old SIM and it caused your device to switch from the S24?

True. I should say confirms that is customer service's current stance. They have definitely changed their unlock policy recently. Last year I was able to unlock the device immediately after paying in full. This year they are strict about the 60 days. I'm personally going to function on the assumption that they are being honest about it because some other carriers do the same thing and refuse to unlock if you do not keep the device active on the line for a certain number of days. If that ends up being wrong, then great.

Yeah, the phone being locked should not affect the ability to trade in, but obviously people want it unlocked if they plan to keep the phone long term or sell it. What stands out about Spectrum deal is that they give the $700 promo even without 12-month contract. If they required 12-month service contract then it would be similar to many other carriers, but people are obviously heavily taking advantage of this offer, especially since Spectrum gives out free mobile line offers to their internet users. If all they have done in response is change the unlock policy to 60 days then really cannot complain too much. However, I do think that there should be laws (and I think laws have been proposed in the past) that phone carriers should be required to unlock phones when they device is paid in full.

Anybody waiting to receive their preordered s24s?

I preordered on 1/30, expected delivery was 2/9, status of the shipping is still "Unknown".

Chatted with them and also called Spectrum and no one is giving right status or ETA.

Wow
I went to try to do this my old 6s plus iphone that was unlocked before my amazon order arrive and gotta say it was sooo easy. Took 20 minutes in and out.
799-705 + plus activiation/fees/tax came out to 120.75 out the door.

Thinking of getting another s24 when my amazon phone arrives, hopefully its the same process!
Did you get tax on full price or after the Trade in discounts? Which state are you? Just curious.

A few people have reported that their preorders were inexplicably cancelled. But I think there are also people waiting for their devices to ship out too due to backorder. Is the device you are waiting for showing as in stock on the Spectrum website?

Same boat. I assume your is the grey S24 as well. Currently all other 256 GB is in backorder besides the grey color which means we might have a longer wait time. Since I upgraded my line and they already accepted my trade in, I got no choice but wait. Lol
