I do not recommend Spectrum Mobile. They are an MVNO on Verizon towers and when the network is congested, you have little to no connection because your priority is so low. There is also no upgrade option for a prioritized connection. I dropped them after 1 month.
I test with the following tiv samsung phones:

A14 $714
A54 $770
S23fe $880
S23+ $994
Trade in my Google Pixel 6A for $757 that I originally got from metro for $50 years ago. Makes this a true slickdeal 🫡

Although the plan is cheaper than the one for the full price of the phone, they will only reimburse up to the purchase price of the phone if something happens.
That's exactly what I was wondering. I didn't know if they'd cover the value of the phone itself, or just the price that I paid. I'm mostly interested in it as an inexpensive insurance for screen replacement.

Yes, I had problem with the first one too. Chat representative refunded me to my credit card but that amount was added to my next bill. So, I called them again, I was told that bill will adjust after bill closing date( Feb 22).
Good luck, it sounds like spectrum rep may have hit the wrong button. I didn't have to wait for my next bill I was able to cash out the first morning it showed the pending trade in credit.

Adding data point;
Delivery of trade in 2/9
Email from Assurant confirming trade in 2/18
Bill credits hit spectrum account 2/19
Chatted to get it refunded to debit card 2/20 (money already posted). I could have chatted on 2/19 but when I noticed the credits it was past their working hours.

I still don't see credit for in-store trade-in credit on 02/14. Anyone got credit in your account after in-store trade in.

Similar thing here
Delivery of trade in 2/8 (supposedly evaluate by 2/12) - nothing for a long time

Ok so one of my Moto G got denied ,so I iniated the return process with spectrum becuase the 14 days was up but was still waiting for assurant to process my second Moto G.

Well today I just got the email that they accepted my trade in for the second. Can I cancel the return associated with that phone or do I still have to proceed with the return. Thanks

Gotta contact them for your answer.... but my assumption would be if you don't send in the return, nothing happens. The credit would post and your line would remain open. I'm sure they can cancel the return if you ask, to clean things up.

My original order and the assurant trade in page still shows the $700 promo. The return appeared as another order in my account. Technically if I don't send the phone back, there is no return so not clear how they can adjust the terms of the original order in that scenerio. I spoke with the rep on the phone for a while about the return and he said that was the right move to buy me some time waiting on the trade in.
Did you have any issues cancelling your return and still getting the promo?

Assurant valued my phone at $0 so I went through with the return. Assurant was so delayed in evaluating, I didn't have time to debate condition with them over email and get the return back to Spectrum in time.

Today is 2/18. How are you quoting steps in the future?

How long did the return refund take to hit your CC? They got my return delivered on 2/14 and still no acknowledgement of receipt or credit.

Assurant is not setting any value for my tradein officially. I emailed the assurant support and they said that the straight talk device is carrier locked and so are wanting to assign value of 0$ for my tradein. But how do I decline the offer and get the device back? Also, in the email they say that they are not able to accept or deny on the customer's behalf. They haven't sent me any communication except from the conversation I initiated. Also, I don't see any update on the portal either.

The store does it in a 36/mo payment plan, what can I do to get out of it?
