I do not recommend Spectrum Mobile. They are an MVNO on Verizon towers and when the network is congested, you have little to no connection because your priority is so low. There is also no upgrade option for a prioritized connection. I dropped them after 1 month.
I test with the following tiv samsung phones:

A14 $714
A54 $770
S23fe $880
S23+ $994
Trade in my Google Pixel 6A for $757 that I originally got from metro for $50 years ago. Makes this a true slickdeal 🫡

sounds like 36 month payment plan...check your receipt
It's not monthly payment plan. It's an upgrade from s24 to s24+, remaining $90+ credit still not showing in my account. Receipt looks good:

Credit applied to order:
$999.99
Credit on account:
$85.011

Not quite the same response in-store, but mine didn't go thru because of "verification failed", thinking there is a limit on how many trade-ins you can do in-store and online. This is my first time in-store and didn't go thru.
Went to a different store, worked. Traded my A15 for the S24. Total came around $16.71 (new line). Might try my luck and upgrade the S24 to the plus when I feel brave.

Still waiting for one of my pre-order S24 Gray from 1/30. Anyone in same boat?

Assurant is not setting any value for my tradein officially. I emailed the assurant support and they said that the straight talk device is carrier locked and so are wanting to assign value of 0$ for my tradein. But how do I decline the offer and get the device back? Also, in the email they say that they are not able to accept or deny on the customer's behalf. They haven't sent me any communication except from the conversation I initiated. Also, I don't see any update on the portal either.
Was it the Walmart Moto phone that people have been having issues with due to "anti theft"? Have not heard of Assurant rejecting due to carrier lock since they accept locked phones. In fact, when you create the trade in order it has you specify the carrier.

In terms of where you can see the next step, have you tried checking the original link that they sent where you print the shipping label from that shows status updates?

The good: For online orders Spectrum essentially gives you the trade in value of the phone, plus the tax associated with it. So I got more than the quoted $870 they mentioned in the trade acceptance email.

The bad: I did three trade-ins in store, and I was supposed to get one like free (due to the one free line with two new lines promo).

So essentially I'm going to be paying an extra $90 after everything is said and done (for three months of service).

Anybody else have this issue?

Yes, Walmart moto phone. Didn't activate the phone at the counter. Just bought it as traded it in as the wiki mentioned that we don't need to activate, but they did scan it. I actually traded two phones. One was accepted and the other is being denied. First they mentioned anti theft. When I sent receipts, they are now saying it's carrier locked. It's been frustrating. Went back and forth with them 5 times. Now I even passed the return window.

I have had a free line with Internet, for about 6 months now. That could be why.

I wonder if there are some Assurant employees that have no clue what they are doing with this particular Moto phone model. Somebody posted previously saying that it could be related to this Moto phone not allowing access to the set-up without a valid SIM. However, that is not customer's fault. You could perhaps reply back and let them know that Spectrum trade-in program accepts carrier locked phones and even has customers select their carrier when creating the trade in.

What's best course of action? I imagine just downgrading from the $30/line option to the cheaper $20/line option? For the 3 phones I don't use (but want to unlock after 60 days)?

If so can I do this myself on th website/app or do I need to call customer service?

Yes, $20 per line, I don't know the best way to switch, I myself would try chat first.
