I do not recommend Spectrum Mobile. They are an MVNO on Verizon towers and when the network is congested, you have little to no connection because your priority is so low. There is also no upgrade option for a prioritized connection. I dropped them after 1 month.
I test with the following tiv samsung phones:

A14 $714
A54 $770
S23fe $880
S23+ $994
Trade in my Google Pixel 6A for $757 that I originally got from metro for $50 years ago. Makes this a true slickdeal 🫡

really,it has been 3 days i dont see the credit.
Did you purchase online and pay in full? If so, most people are seeing the credit in the Spectrum account the next day after Assurant approves it. If you log into your Spectrum account and go to Billing and then Mobile you should see the credit there.

I already did the 3 trades at the store and one online.

I tried to add one line yesterday in the store. But said that they cannot process ID verification in the store so I have to do it online.

After coming home, I placed an order with a trade-in to get a New line added to my account, The order went through, and they asked for verification to upload the ID and they received it. But suddenly I received an email from an assurant that my trade was canceled as per my request. When I checked with Spectrum, they told me that the order was canceled and did not give me any reason.

So seems their system is wired. I did not exploit the system as others are doing.

Keep your distance from them.

I placed a second order and they are asking if they need more Info. Let's see what happens.

UPDATE: they need my ID re-scanned at the Store, so need to go there. FUNNY.

Nailer you nailed it. Spectrum CS is a bunch of pencil pushers that aren't willing to go beyond the script and help resolve issues. Their escalation tactics usually involve making false promises to get you off the phone and kick the problem down the road.
Funny that's how my problem is dealt at the moment. Pre-order got cancelled without my knowledge and my trade in has been approved since 2/7/2024. They claim a demographic email was send out which I never received (check both spam). They couldn't just re-order for me and applied the credit, asked that I ask assurant for the phone. I asked to speak with a supervisor, supervisor said since Assurant has completed the trade in with the promotion credit, it should reflect back in two billing cycles (I said base on experience, the promotion should reflect in couple days). and what if I don't get the credit by then, supervisor said to call back and they will put a note on system. The line that I pre-order with is currently on hold and they probably say something down the road the line needs to be active. Honestly, I don't really care for trade in at this point and this will just give me an excuse to cancel their plan after everything.

Agree regarding Spectrum customer service. But if you pay it off and they cannot properly refund the credits, then you should be able to return it since you are within the return window. However, if they can give you your trade in back and you just want to return and rebuy and start from scratch, you can do that. One thing to watch out for is restocking fee. I am not sure if they can just return and sell you the same device. Their system might make them have to return the first device, charge restocking fee, then give you a new device. I have heard mixed message on whether the $50 restocking fee is just on open devices or on any return,
So i went to store in morning and there were no mangers on duty, so went back in afternoon and spent a little more than 2 hours (lot of back and forth and manager was giving very stupid logic of why they were right), but returned the phone, got back my trade-in device and manager mentioned, no restocking charges, i got a bunch of emails, I think i will have wait a couple of days and see when they hit my card to confirm, it everything was processed as promised.
then went to another store, got a new moto razr+, told employee to pay device in full and he happily processed my trade-in; i think spectrum systems are messed up for couple of hours now, doesn't show me receipt online and no credit yet, but hoping it should process by tomorrow..

thanks for all the support you guys!

Glad it worked out. Good to know that they store does not charge restocking fee if device is unopened. Somebody said that online they do but the actual documents on the Spectrum website give mixed information. Is there any reason that you went to a different store to make the purchase after working with the first group for the return? I would think they would want to do the purchase after spending all that time returning the first.

Did you do all of this on four separate lines? So the store blocked you and told you to order online but then online blocked your order and said you had to go upload ID at the store? And then you have to place the order online again?

Yeah I don't know what's going on with their system. The trade in credits I did 2 days ago still hasn't shown up on my account and I can't pull up the information for the two orders listed online

on looking at receipt they did charge restocking fee, but i think manager knew it was their mistake and they gave credit for it, also FYI my box was opened to activate by store employees. the employees were pretty rude at this specific location and i didn't want to flag my account or anything like that...

Oh yeah, you mentioned it was opened. The reason the information would be useful is because when you order online you get the new phone before the trade in is done. If you get charge $50 no matter what for online orders if you return then it does not matter if you wait to open it until the trade in is complete.

Is there any way to activate the line without opening the box? I want to use the line on a different device but give the phone to a family member who has Spectrum internet as well. I owe her a phone anyways after I dropped and damaged her old S22 a couple of years ago.

When I did my trades in store, I told them do not open the phone box and just make sure activate the sim card (I refused esim), and phone without open the box, but they said they have to open the box and insert the sim for me, no choice.
They went through all settings to test the phone is working properly.
I had to do a factory reset again when I got home

Yeah I got 2 phones. They opened the first one but I convinced them not to open the second one. They were hesitant, saying they don't want these resold on the Internet. I told them I don't want to get hit with the restocking fee if opened in case I change I mind and want to return it later. They couldn't argue with that one.

After a week sitting in a facility in Texas my phone was finally delivered and inspected, with trade-in approved almost instantly.

That's a good one to tell them.
They just take the whole Open the box for the new phone excitement from the customer by open them in front of the customers!!! Just like the metro by tmobile when doing deals in their stores!!
