I didn't see anyone else post this, and I already own a Bosh cut off tool (highly recommend that one, but tool-only is $90 on sale). At $40, this cut off tool is cheaper than any other one I've seen. I've looked at it in-store, and it's pretty nice. Not as nice as the Milwaukee or the Bosch, but you can't touch either one of those for $40. Oh, and it's Brushless with a 5 yr warranty... but no HDMI inputs.

Also, note, the coupon expires in a few days - on the 21st.

Product Overview
  • This HERCULES™ 12V, 3 in. Cut-Off Tool delivers up to 20,000 RPM for clean, accurate cuts through tile, metal, or PVC, depending on the blade. This high speed cutter comes with a tool-free adjustable shoe for precise depth cutting.
  • Counterclockwise blade direction ideal for cutting tile, metal, and PVC
  • Tool-free adjustable guard for safety in all positions
  • Bright LED light for superior work visibility
  • 5 Year Warranty
  • Brushless Motor

Honestly the Hercules tools are pretty legit, especially for homeowners/DIYers. I'd probably be all over this if I didn't have the milwaukee already *and* didn't know how messy these are for cutting drywall (that was a huge mistake).

edit: can someone explain the marketing reasoning for the cutting direction line? found that kind of humorous the way it's phrased.

What's HDMI input? I know what it is for audio/video but for a tool?

Sorry, that was just me being a jackass. No HDMI inputs is an old SD dad joke, I guess.

The line is the way the wheel is spinning. If I'm not mistaken the milwaukee can change directions. This matters when you're cutting metal and don't want sparks flying in your face.

Too bad these don't take Milwaukee batteries — I'd be all over it. Anyone have a quality adapter they recommend to use Milwaukee/dewalt/Ridgid/ryobi batteries on Hercules ?
