I don't think they typically one with extra filter. I've been shopping air filters for a while and this one comes up a lot as best in class. Seems like a pretty good deal too.

Poor reviews on Consumer Reports; this is a pass.

Blueair's 211 series models scored very well and are some of CR's top recommended air purifiers.

The 211's are for larger spaces though. This one is for bedrooms

All depends on your needs. I've had the 550 in my bedroom for like 8 years. Biggest gripe is that you can't get in there to clean out the inside. But we have it running 24x7x365 with no issues.

Purchased a few of the 311i/411i's app control died after a month, also unit integrated controls fail to respond, tried resetting unit no luck. However this is the 411a and has no app control.

People seem satisfied with Levoit bedroom size air purifiers. They were using one in the doctor's office too for what it's worth.

Are these having TRUE HEPA filters and how much to replace their filter?
Update: based on reviews it seems it's not True HEPA. and it has an electrostatic filter so it will emit some ozone.

Been looking for an air purifier. No idea where to start. I have a high ceiling living room. Kids but no pets and lots of cooking. Any recommendation?

Have owned one 211 and three 411's. All 411's have since failed. 211 still going strong. I won't buy Blueair again. Do with that what you will.

Careful doesn't appear they are Hepa rated anymore. Google it.

We have 4 Winix C545, the model that periodically goes on sale at Costco for $99 and includes 2 filters.
It is a floor model but we've had no problems with any; no whines, rattles, squeals etc. that some folks report. All are still going strong for the past 3+ years.
We don't use any WiFi settings; just plug and go.
For $30 more than this model, I would definitely buy again.

I got a few of these when they were buy one get one from the manufacturer for $140. I really like them. They get great airflow for the noise they make. Noise levels are minor even at the highest level; you'll hear it if you're in a totally quiet space but even then it's not annoying at all. My Coway is loud as crap compared to this but that is built for bigger spaces. I'd recommend for sure.
